In November 2020, when University of Pennsylvania graduate student Mackenzie Fierceton won the prestigious and highly competitive Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford — one of just 32 scholars selected from a pool of 2,300 applicants — she was praised by the Ivy League school’s president in a newsletter.
“Mackenzie is so deserving of this prestigious opportunity,” declared president Amy Gutmann of the 23-year-old from suburban St. Louis. “As a first-generation [to go to college] low-income student and a former foster youth, Mackenzie is passionate about championing young people [and] dedicating herself to a life of public service.”
But a few months later, Fierceton had lost her prestigious scholarship and was fighting against accusations that she had been “blatantly dishonest” about her childhood in her Penn and Rhodes applications.
Now, the investigation into her story is being revealed by the Chronicle of Higher Education — including the Rhodes committee’s findings that Fierceton “created and repeatedly shared false narratives about herself,” using these “misrepresentations” to “serve her interests as an applicant for competitive programs.”
The case also exposes the murky underbelly of elite schools like Penn and their quest to “show that they’re transforming society rather than laundering its inequalities” by accepting “remarkable” applicants with truly tragic backgrounds, according to the Chronicle report.
Multiple college consultants told The Post that the college application process now features more questions about overcoming obstacles. The 2021-2022 essay prompts from Common App, the organization that oversees undergrad applications for more than 900 schools, include “Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure.”

I used to watch that show while doing my homework after school.
Even as a kid I thought it was hokey..................
Fierceton seems to have few regrets about her essays. As she told the Chronicle: “Where I’ve landed is that I have a right to write about my experiences as I experienced them. Period.”
_____________
that is where we are as a country. Trans, pretending to be another race etc. “What I say is real”
very dangerous road to walk down
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
Nobody is entitled to their own reality....................
Sounds like she’s setting herself up for a career feeding at the public trough, as a bureaucrat or politician.
Political Science grad......................
Some say Sociopath, some say Destructive Narcissist. The first is someone like the Uni-bomber or a high priest at Jonestown. They believe that their understanding of right and wrong supersedes everyone else’s. They are not born a sociopath. They grow into it by outside influences and often some kind of mental weakness or mental illness.
Destructive Narcissist is someone who is profoundly selfish. And its the spectrum of those who may be psychopaths or just those who are almost psychopaths. Like the autism is spectrum has Asperger syndrome for those who have lessor forms of autism.
But I think this girl is a full blown psychopath. Why, she was willing to ruin her mothers life. She is willing to boldly lie to the police and doctors and schools. There is nobody that she won’t attack, hence the lawsuits.
You see she is not self aware yet. She will become self aware soon. She has been abusing family and friends who either don’t understand her or refuse to give up on her. Its been easy. But now she is running into the adult world. And her lies are catching up to her. That’s one reason she changed her name. She is just figuring out that reputation matters.
Don’t worry for her. She will take this all in. And she will change. Her lies will be more careful. She will start to see that reputation matters. So, she will be careful not to get caught. She will not change her ethics. She will stay profoundly selfish and conniving. But she will become far better at it.
You see a psychopath like a lone wolf believes there is her and everyone else is competition or food. She really does not care for anyone. That chip inside you that cares about other people is not in her.
My brother was diagnosed professionally as a sociopath at age 13 in 1969.
He died of a drug overdose at 50. He never changed his entire life. In and out of jails and prison for various offenses from drugs to assault, attempted rape.
He could be sweet as sugar when he wanted something, and as vindictive and destructive as a hurricane if he did not get it......
Dr. Frasier Crane : We were students together when I was a Rhodes scholar.
Woody Boyd : Wow, you were a Rhodes scholar?
[Frasier nods affirmatively]
Woody Boyd : Tell me this, how come the stuff they fill in the potholes with is darker than the rest of the road?
Dr. Frasier Crane : I don’t know Woody. I missed that day.
Woody Boyd : And now it’s come back to haunt you.
I actually know the answer to that!..............
Sorry to hear that, RB.

Back in the day most people would think of a psychopath as violent. And yes, they could kill you. But most don’t. They don’t want to go to jail. Even if they would have no remorse killing someone. They are often far too cleaver. Being a psychopath does not mean you are criminal or violent, just that you don’t care if others live or die or are harmed. You care about yourself only.
Don’t be.
My sisters and I didn’t even go to his funeral.
He was a mean, violent bastard his entire life.
As far as I know, our mother was the only one who went.
He had her wrapped around his finger from the time he was a small child.
She gave him everything he ever asked for, even cars.
One time she wouldn’t let him have the family van to go into town and he filled the crankcase with sand.
He died of a combination drug fueled rage and massive stroke yelling at her to give him money and collapsed on the living room floor.
No, no tears were shed from any of us siblings.
The only thing that surprised me was that he lived that long....................
So you are ALL FOR LYING?!?!?!?
That was him to a tee. And he was violent if he did not get his way.
He could be as nice a person as you would ever know, as long as you did not cross him or get in his way....................
WOW.
"Those investigations revealed that for the first 17 years of her life, Fierceton was raised by her mother, Dr. Carrie Morrison, an accomplished physician. Fierceton grew up in a wealthy community and attended an elite private school in a St. Louis suburb," Penn's lawyers state. "She entered foster care only at the age of 17, after making a complaint of abuse against Dr. Morrison –- a complaint that a court later found not to be credible."The article was written by former Daily News and Inquirer staffer Ruderman, who was subsequently dispatched to St. Louis for two weeks to dig into Fierceton's background, and write a long expose that was never published.
"Fierceton clearly benefitted from life in an upper-middle class environment," Penn's lawyers wrote. "She enjoyed horseback riding, family trips to the beach, school athletics, and extracurricular activities. was raised in the affluent St. Louis suburb of Chesterfield, Missouri, which, according to a 2019 Business Journal article, is the home of the 'richest zip code' in all of Missouri.
"The median household income for Chesterfield, as reported in the article, was $160,354.24," Penn's lawyers wrote. "Fierceton attended a private elementary school, the Chesterfield Montessori School, and then The Whitfield School, a private college preparatory school nestled on a 26-acre campus in St. Louis, Missouri."
During their investigation of Fierceton, Penn's general counsel spoke to "Michael Hayes, the prosecutor in St. Louis who had charged Dr. Morrison with child abuse and neglect. Mr. Hayes did not mince words. He referred to the charge and arrest of Dr. Morrison as the 'biggest mistake of my career.' ”
"Finally, Mr. Hayes had learned that Fierceton had routinely been a domineering presence in her mother’s life," Penn's lawyers wrote. "Fierceton had regular temper tantrums, beyond the normal range for an adolescent. Mr. Hayes concluded that Fierceton’s accusations of abuse were fraudulent and manipulative."
Well the only thing left is for Murky Fiction to blame it all on Trump, since he went to Penn lol.
But as for this nitwit girl? SCHADENFREUDE.
She is the budding perfect Democrat.
Liar, thief, situational ethics, phony.
Looks like Emilia Clark from A Game Of Thrones.
Acts like Megan Markle!
Michael Jackson was born a poor black child and died a rich white woman.
This chick has all the makings of an Elizabeth Holmes. No morals whatsoever.
