"Kids reportedly have no difficulty with the train problem, but adults aren't faring so well. The puzzle was designed for the fresh eyes of 6 and 7 year olds, so maybe all of us grownups are just overcomplicating things!
"Check out the problem below, and let us know if you were able to solve it!"
There were some people on a train. 19 people get off the train at the first stop. 17 people get on the train. Now there are 63 people on the train. How many people were on the train to begin with?

I think it has to do with where the train is going. These days it’s easy to see why liberals love trains.
60...5 people did not identify as “people”, so they cannot be counted in a true and just society. s/
Yeah I also wondered if it was a trick question in the sense they do some ad hoc pedantic interpretation of the words. Because taking it at face value its so easy that I wondered how people could missed it. But alas its just a super easy problem.
( x amount on train ) -19 off + 17 on = 63
x=65

Why did you click the link? The puzzle was posted for you.
Aha. You clicked on it didn’t you?
It’s another clickbait scam. Simply a completely made up story.
I wonder how individual age groups score. Common core math began about 20 years ago in schools across the country. They cared how you arrived at the answer, not if you were correct.
That's the right answer!
how many had covid?
Why not share? It’s simple mind numbing subtraction and addition.

I donta know, Little Light. What I do know is that I absolutely SUCK at math. I mean really suck. I can close your loan quicker than anyone in the world, but that’s because I have a calculator in use.
I dunno..... “Some People did some things....”
LMBO! I can picture it. Thanks for the big laugh, JBW.
The total with tax was $6.01. I gave the girl at the counter a 20 dollar bill and she tendered that into the register keys.
Then I remembered that I had some coins in my pocket and gave her a penny...She was stumped.
I said just give me $14.00 back. Still a blank look on her face.
*What grade are you in?
Her: 12th.
Then there’s Common Core Math which clearly tells us the answer is 248.432 people and 1 canary that flew in when the door was open.
I don’t understand why anyone had a problem calculating the correct answer. People must be looking for a trick answer. There isn’t one, just simple math.
