Former president Donald Trump has hurt his chances for a second go of the presidency, if he plans to run. By recently saying, "The vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind," he dismayed a large swath of supporters who consider the COVID shots one of mankind's greatest failures.
SNIP
One of the hardest things in the world to do is admit being wrong. Pride is widely considered to be the worst of the seven deadly sins. There's also plenty of pride going around within the CDC, FDA, and NIH these days, with devastating consequences as the COVID shots maim and kill more and more people and as life-saving drugs such as ivermectin are suppressed. By ruefully acknowledging the COVID shot blunder, Mr. Trump would actually gain his supporters' respect.
Or perhaps he genuinely thinks the COVID shots are a success. If so, he nevertheless surely must realize by now that unlike real vaccines, they don't prevent infection and transmission. The best they can do is perhaps reduce COVID symptoms for a few months. And they appear to even confer negative immunity — making it more likely that the jab recipient will get COVID, at least with omicron. Buried in a German government report (p. 14) were data indicating 4,020 cases of fully jabbed people versus only 186 who were not jabbed. That's 96 percent to 4 percent, in a country where 71 percent of citizens are fully jabbed. This is consistent with studies indicating that the jab may alter the immune system — for the worse.

and that was because the citizenry needed to see for ourselves that most of our government considers citizens the enemy, that there was indeed a Deep State and it was wielding government like a bludgeon.
mRNA and other COVID vaccines are miracle drugs, and were developed in record time because of Trump. I congratulate Trump for his success in protecting the American population from the China virus, and will vote for him in a heartbeat.
You anti-vaxxers are making a HUGE mistake in thinking that conservatives are as deluded as you.
Do you think the VAX should be mandatory?
could’t have said it better myself. trump’s warp speed saved a lot of life. in a perfect world, trump would still be in office and all the anti-vaxers would be dems, and all the high profiled death would be dems.
Trump translated?? The vaccines were a better alternative than 10 years of lock downs (witness what is happening in Australia now with what looks like permanent lockdowns forever). He is obviously speaking to the frightened crowd.
It’s not anti-Trump. Trump followed the advice of his advisors. That was a huge error in judgment.
The vaccines should have never been supported when it was clear early on that hydroxychloriquine and later, Ivermectin were the solution to COVID-19.
Do you think the VAX should be mandatory?

I do NOT think that governments have the right to force vaccines on the populous or to force vaccines onto private companies, and that includes government contractors. Neither do I think governments have the right to ban vaccination mandates by private companies. Governments obviously have a right to mandate vaccinations in government employees, including military.
Enemy camp? Covfefe
Trump is WRONG on this. It WILL hurt him politically.
He CAN fix this.
Paling around with Bill O’Reilly is NOT going to help him.
I will vote for Trump regardless (if he runs), but I can still point out this YUGE MISTAKE in hopes he will see the light.
That doesn’t make me an enemy.
Caveat: Governments have a right to require that contractor personnel must be vaccinated in order to enter government facilities.
I expect most anti-vaxxers like myself have already moved on to DeSantis. The Trump worshippers will defend anything he says or does and call us anti-rumpers but I don’t care. DeSantis is the superior candidate for a host of reasons, and I expect as the 2024 campaigns begin most will come to the same conclusion.
“Trump is NOT a Freedom guy, he’s a populist.”
Exactly and he’s never been a conservative either, up until he ran for President he palled around with and financially supported Dems. He was never for limited government nor interested in reigning in spending. Previously he was always in favor of universal healthcare. The only difference between him and the Dems is that he doesn’t hate America like they do.
“I expect most anti-vaxxers like myself have already moved on to DeSantis….”

Would that be the same DeSantis (Governor of Florida) who has the exact same approach to COVID-19 as Trump? Looking at your comment #91 above, you’ve simply exposed yourself as an anti-Trumper. If you’re between jobs I believe that National Review is looking for additional writers.
There was no blunder other than the fact a supposed, thought
highly of entity was actually a con to tear down this nation.
Giving DJT the benefit of the doubt:
He did the necessary in order to trap the ‘bad guys’, what better way than clearing the road to do what they do best.
Yes, one who sacrificed himself for the good of the country (certainly NOT the first seen to do so).
>OR<
He truly believed the crooks and had no alternative than
accept their recommendations.
On the brighter side, DJT stands firm in his belief citizens continue to have a choice in the matter of personal
medical decisions and there should be NO MANDATE. This gives us a sign of HOPE and a positive outcome.
Should we make it through this chapter of history, the book should reveal ALL the details and sub-plots between the lines. Can only pray we will be here in order to read it.
The media smeared the medical pros who advocated for ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine from the beginning; President Trump’s medical advisors were wrong, subversive or both concerning mRNA injections. Data was corrupted. Somebody did a very good job of obscuring accurate information and contributing to confusion.
I’m sure in your mind all DeSantis supporters must be anti-Trumpers.
“I’m sure in your mind all DeSantis supporters must be anti-Trumpers.”

Why would you say that? I love DeSantis just as I love Trump!
