The government can NOT back down on vaccine mandates for two reasons

From personal experience, you must know that the administration can NOT back down on vaccine mandates and it is driven by the mindset of Federal Agency bureaucracies and here's why:

First, I have worked for SEVERAL Federal agencies. ALL of them have the same mindset. Once they give a directive, they almost never back down even if it is a disaster or totally wrong. To retreat in the face of criticism erodes the authority of that agency and there is no way they are going to tolerate that, some more than others. To give up ground on an order means giving up ground on OTHER directives given and they have tremendous FEAR of losing power. Once an administration gives a directive, a Federal agency is tasked with enforcing that. Once given that authority, the power trap is set. Retreat makes the AGENCY look weak, not the administration per se. Also, they want to establish a precedent to force people to comply with the next demand they implement. Can't be having people rebel against the vaccine/mask mandates no matter how stupid it has become because if the people succeed in getting this revoked, they will look for something else they abhor and rebel against that (i.e. many, many stupid regulations).

Second, a LOT of people are going make money when a directive is given. They WANT that money no matter what happens. That includes private industry and government officials getting either salaries, payoffs or both. Both of those reasons are freight trains that can only be stopped by war. They KNOW almost no one wants to really fight them, so, they keep doing what they're doing.

Would you mind explaining this better? What was stated and why the term idiots? Please line up the chain of cause and effect if you don’t mind?

Assuming people are talking in code about counter-revolution then who would lead that? Or does anyone imagine that such an event could just happen spontaneously? The closest parallel in modern times may have been Solidarity in Poland 1978-82 time frame, and it had two very charismatic leaders (the Pope and Lech Walesa). Who does this counter-revolution have? Donald Trump has signalled he is only interested in political solutions. That’s all well and good, but who in their right mind thinks that 2022 or 2024 will be played by different rules than 2020? Why would they abandon the fraud strategy when it worked so easily the first time?

I think a younger and less political person than Donald Trump (or the likes of De Santis, Cruz, anyone remotely plausible in politics) is needed, a sort of “plumber Joe” type of person but more suited to this challenge. I have no idea who that might be.

Or there’s always the second coming, that might solve these problems in unexpected ways.

Having spent 4 decades in “public service” (Ha!), I can not argue with either point you made. That is pretty much how these things get locked in.

I can think of a “demonstration” that might really have a great effect, and that is if all over the country, in places like NYC, LA, Washington DC, all of a sudden empty nooses started appearing hanging from light poles and overpasses.

I meant to add also that Solidarity had the backing of two powerful nations with conservative leaders (Reagan and Thatcher) but American patriots will have to fight communism without any help — not that I think you would fail if properly organized. But it is a daunting challenge given that so many institutions have been corrupted.

I really get tired of people arguing with me. If they knew my background, they would sit down, shut up, and listen. When I say such things, people get real mad. However, the truth is the truth and how I say it doesn't change the truth.

It seems apt that you used the words of the Handwriting on the Wall as your handle too.

You joined the forum four days before me.   I remember those times.

Who could have? Yes, we recognized that the novel '1984' would be their playbook, but who could have foretold that the Babylon Bee would be, also?

I used the term idiots for those people who saw what the governments and politicians were doing via the lockdowns in the Spring of 2020 and refused to believe they would last a long time. Lockdowns are still being enforced in some locations, and for those that aren’t, mask and vaccine mandates replaced the lockdowns.

I've read every one of them....

They are intensely detailed...and they are great reads...

While reading them...I'd come to the conclusion...this or that "could" come to a bad conclusion.

I grew up in SoCal...and saw that State forced into suicide...by the Politicians.

Anyway...I'm not articulate enough....but I've seen too much. That makes you mad, scared for my kids, pissed off, wondering when the SHTF.

I gotta agree. I see that principle at work every day in the US government.

Example, financial management offices use a database called DEAMS. (don't ask me what it stands for!) It has cost the government over $6B over the years to use it and try and keep it running, yet it is the most gawd awful financial program anyone has ever used. I've been told that every civilian company that has tried to use it, gave up, because of how badly it runs. Those same companies gave the program a grade of "F" and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Yet, the US gubermint continues to pour millions of dollars into it to try and straighten it out.

So yes, once the the government decides on a course of action, short of someone in the highest office in the land putting the kibosh it, it's either make it or break it, and they usually never make it.

There is only one solution and it is not practical at this time and would come at the cost of a great many lives.

A steep price, but we have been down that road before.

“. . .In his talk shows Dr. Beter had a habit of saying things which sounded
preposterous at the time, but which were proven correct later on. Early in
1973 he declared that Vice President Spiro Agnew would be swept up in a sudden
scandal beginning in late summer that would lead quickly to his resignation.
At the time Agnew was flying high, and it sounded like an unlikely turn of
events. But it happened, right on schedule. In the spring of 1974, Dr. Beter
described a sequence of events by which the Watergate Scandal would make Richard
Nixon the first U.S. President in history to resign. At the time, Watergate
seemed to be running out of steam, and Nixon appeared to be “toughing it out.”
Even less believably, Dr. Beter described a secret agreement which he said
existed by which then-Vice President Gerald Ford would nominate Nelson
Rockefeller to be his new Vice President after Nixon resigned. In the spring
of 1974 those things sounded hard to believe indeed. But they took place.

Dr. Beter claimed that events like these, while shocking to the public, were
planned far in advance. He said that they were known within certain
intelligence and even business circles here in America and abroad. Drawing
upon his extensive contacts with these circles, Dr. Beter was making public what
the privileged few already knew.

Having begun as skeptical listeners to Dr. Beter’s radio appearances, a small
group of private citizens became increasingly concerned as they saw Dr. Beter’s
revelations proven correct, time after time. They decided to investigate
further, and finally contacted him. In September, 1974, Audio Books, Inc., was
founded by these supporters of Dr. Beter to provide an avenue by which Dr. Beter
could make his reports public without censorship or cutoff by those who
controlled the radio waves. After several individual AUDIO BOOK(R) tapes, the
Dr. Beter AUDIO LETTER series began in 1975.

About Dr. Beter [Note: born June 21, 1921; died March 14, 1987 (J.V.)]

Dr. Peter Beter (yes, it rhymes) first came to widespread popular attention
in 1973, through his best-selling nonfiction book, The Conspiracy Against the
Dollar (George Braziller, Inc., N.Y.). It was a gripping tale of international
economic intrigue and monetary manipulation, carried out by the coordinated
action of multinational corporations grown more powerful than many of their host
countries. The objective: to deliberately undermine and ultimately destroy the
United States dollar, as a major tool of political and economic conquest under
the banner of a “new imperialism.. . “

Having skimmed through a portion of this man’s work (appx 500 pp of the appx 800 listed) while considering it absolutely fantastic, now consider it a source of interest, and worth vetting. Thank you.
