I mainly just want to ask the question, see what kinds of responses I may get or what other discussions flow from it. What could we do to automate conservatism? This can be both in the form of reaching new people as well as helping educate others around us of new things they may not have known.
So far the most prominent answer I have found for myself is the audiobooks. I will be creating those for many years to come as the opportunities for education are immense.
Over the years I have tried to get out of my comfort zone and re-assess, to look back at successes or failures and make changes, just in case I might be missing something or if others have told me something and see something of value. It's 2022! We made it! There are some new things I want to try with the ProgressingAmerica project going forward.
So. In what ways do you think we could automate conservatism?
It’s not your attitude, it’s your perspective.
Adjust the point of view and the behavior will be automatic.
The question then is how do you get people to see.
Most people don’t want to and it takes great suffering for eyes to be opened.
Maybe young people are meant to ruin their lives so they can see for themselves.
It is wrong and damaging to force people.
I want to want to do right.
I can see for myself the stress in bad consequences.
I choose to see things God’s way or nature’s way because I’ve seen for myself it results in less suffering.
I will do the right thing in my own time because I resist the stress of conflict like the plague.
Be an example.
Don’t tell.
Inspire.
But well worth discussing how to spread conservatism.
Stop honoring talking heads on TV. Be suspicious of self-promotors. Don’t hook your wagon to someone else’s - get others to hook their wagons to yours.
If someone seems really motivated to “work in media” then he’s probably not conservative or ever going to be conservative. Reluctance to be in the limelight is actually a normal human response to increased scrutiny and is a healthy sign. Desire to save the USA and preserve our constitutional republic should always be most evident - not the preening awareness of people paying attention that we usually see in someone who WANTS to be on TV or work in media.
(And if he claims to be a “libertarian,” it’s best to ignore. Libertarians are ALWAYS financed by entities such as Bloomberg. The last time I checked out an unknown “conservative” podcast they had this chick talking about how cute it was that “boomers” were all starting to use “tiktok.” Tik Tok is Communist China - hm, how come they didn’t talk about that? It was like “Oh, haha, how cute that ‘boomers’ are using tiktok!” Lame; I listened for like five seconds and that was it.)
Promote candidates who have worked in real jobs and have real job/business/military experience instead of career politicians or candidates who appear to have been “set up” by some interest group or another.
One thing that was brought up in the Stew Peters/David Martin interview that I watched - thanks to FreeRepublic! - that I thought was timely and an excellent point: They discussed how all our “talent” in Congress really aren’t doing what they’re doing “for America” but for their own enrichment - for fund-raising. They brought up how Rand Paul was given accolades for confronting Fauci - and then showed how this was tied to Paul’s fund-raising and how that was always the bottom line with these guys: Can I raise money by seeming bold and brave and confrontational, etc?
Since fund-raising was always going to be first and foremost on politicians’ minds, it’s up to a well-informed and courageous citizenry to keep getting the word out - “Leave the politicians out of it unless you can gain a direct benefit from it and work on a grassroots level,” seemed to be the message.
Politicians and “journalists” and pundits are always looking at their page views, the campaign donations, their TV appearances, their interviews, their likes, and promoting themselves and their interests.
Like, don’t think, “Who would best represent a conservative viewpoint on ‘the View’...?”
Instead think, “Why does any conservative waste his/her time watching this crap? It’s always going to be biased. It’s just for the liberals. STOP WATCHING IT!!”
Volunteer to work in your local elections; be a polling judge; get involved in electoral accountability. Motivate others.
If you are in conservative blogging or media, interact with your audience and not just people you see as able to advance your career - I see supposed “conservatives” on social media do this a lot: They chat it up with a few designated supporters and flame the typical targets such as B3tte M1dler. They won’t a lot of the time talk to someone who says, “Hey great podcast! Is there some place I can get more info on what you were talking about?”
In a word: They’re snobs. (I guess that’s two or perhaps three words.) They see snobbery as what gets them the right kind of attention because that’s what works for the liberals - it’s a big exclusive club and only certain people can get in. (And that’s what turns you into a liberal, Sonny Boy! Caring about what the liberal a**holes on TV and in the media say to you and about you, NOT your conservative audience.)
I mean, you’re posting this question so obviously you’re not one of those - seeking feedback, even if it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, will always enhance your reputation. And if you make a mistake, own it. Admitting that you were wrong always helps (unless you were, you know, not actually wrong!)
And audiobooks are great. Especially if you get someone with a voice like Howlin Wolf (we watched one of his videos last night) to read your material.
That’s great! Walk the walk.
That right there would just about restore and automate conservatism in one great big swoop: End the DOE.
“Adjust the perspective.”
It use to be conservative news radio that affirmed my point of view.
It was clear in the 2006 mid terms that not nearly enough people were listening.
There’s a 5 minute video game called WE BECOME WHAT WE BEHOLD which can be viewed here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcs2njd8nnQ
It’s a perfect example of Project Nightingale behavior modification, how fake news automates misery.
Again, I don’t like telling people what to do, controlling or preaching at people.
I prefer to inspire by using myself as an example.
If people can see the danger, they will automatically behave correctly.
First define it. Currently we have countless shades of conservatism, while the socialists enjoy only one philosophy, under one party. If this doesn't change, the movement is DOA.
We have; Liberal conservatism, Libertarian conservatism, Moderate conservatism, Pro-life conservatism, Pro-Death conservatism, Fiscal conservatism, MAGA conservatism, Principled conservatism, Traditionalist conservatism, Cultural conservatism, Social conservatism, Religious conservatism, Pro-War conservatism, Nationalistic conservatism, and probable 20 other shades I have forgotten.
When Conservatism welcomed in Neo-Conservatism it became shattered and splintered by design.
When there is an opportunity with friends, family or neighbors, Do not be shy in confronting ridiculous liberal agendas. Laugh at their support of Biden, his afghan pull out, 46 million abortions last year, high taxes and fuel prices, inflation, dementia, and most of all BIden’s failure, COVID. Let them have it but keep it simple because they are inherently stupid people.
PRAYER!
If you were to automate it, it would no longer be conservative.
To automate is to remove choice... to ensure a certain outcome... to convert from manual to machine operation.
So, Here’s a few synonymous questions for you...
How do you automate morality?
or... How do you force freedom? (Where does freedom come from again?)
and finally... How can God “automate” people so they will love Him?
It’s fun to get an action figure to stand up on it’s own.
You position the legs and arms right.
You find a flat enough surface.
Then you adjust here and there for any unexpected imperfections.
You pull your hands away but it tumbles over.
So you start again.
Reposition.
Fix that angle.
Get the head tilted right.
Many attempts.
Many falls.
Eventually you pull your hands away and it stays up!
Then you sigh in satisfaction and step back to admire.
This is automated conservatism.
Standing up on your own.
IMO, the problem isn’t in needing to automate conservatism insomuch as it’s a problem in de-automating social justice media censorship and suppression of conservative thought.
Figure out how to destroy THEIR algorithms, triggers, censorship and suppression and then you’ve got something. Otherwise, it’s still gonna be a battle of individual conservatives thinking on their feet and attacking the problem in ways their automation cannot address.... just my opinion.
Subsequently conditions will be such that in order to survive and rebuild, the typical citizen will automatically turn to conservatism.
Once upon a time there was a forest. In the forest were hills and trees and grass and a river. And then there was this one pine tree. He stands up straight without any help from the other trees, and he’s happy. He‘s busy doing the photosynthesis thing in the sun, the tap root thing in the water, and when the wind blows he dances.
One day he looks around and beside him he sees another tree. He says to her, “Hey look at you standing there. You do all that yourself?” She answers, “Yeah, I do the sun thing and I do the water thing and when the wind blows I dance - like this.” Admiringly, he says to her, “Well look at you! You seem happy.” She says, “Yup.”
He says, “You know, I never noticed you before. How long you been standing there?” She stops dancing and looks at him and says, “You dummy, I’ve been here the whole time!” Then he says, “Oh...” Then the wind blew. And they danced together. And they were happy. And they stood in the forest without any help from the other trees.
We can’t even get people to stop re-electing Assistant Democrats, even after they have repeatedly stabbed us in the back.
See Flimsey Grahamnesty.
An amendment that stipulates that before any bill can become a new law, five old laws must first be repealed.
An amendment that stipulates that the national capitol will rotate to new states and regions every year. You must be a rootless vagabond for the power, pay and benefits of a fed employee. Let every state and area take their turn treading water with that boat anchor.
Freegards
Have folks write a check for their Taxes/FICA/etc. every two weeks...
They have to continually be educated on this.
Why?
Because the Left never stops trying to indoctrinate.
You ever go back in time and try to warn people of a disaster, but nobody ever listens to you? Everybody's like, ya ya, the disaster - wacko! And they continue with what they're doing unconcerned. Regardless of all your running around, it's like history is gravity and it can only go one way.
Like Desmond from LOST said, "You can't change it. You can't change it! No matter what you try to do."
I know... And the seriousness and reality of this needs to be addressed as peers.
