It means a tornado went over a pound and sucked all th fish up with the water. Then the tornado dissipates and the fish fall out of the sky

On a scale of one to ten, that is a very unusual event.

Looks like a bass fingerling, but I’m not 100% on that.

Not any kind of bass that I’m familiar with. Certainly not a Large- or Smallmouth, and it lacks an eyespot near the tail which would make it resemble a peacock bass. Looks like a marine baitfish of some sort.

If the finnage were more on display, that would tell the tale. Being a fingerling, it could be a bucketmouth or a sucker. (It certainly isn’t a panfish or a rough fish like a buffalo or gar.) But the Texarkana region is big bass country.

A small largemouth looks like a miniature adult.

Some other fish that I saw looked like Gizzard Shad. No idea what this one is. I’m assuming that waterspouts would be more likely over salt water. Not sure how far the fish could be carried. Texarkana is a good distance from the Gulf.

I think I learned about these latter-day rains of fish when I was in, uh, school.
