Not any kind of bass that I’m familiar with. Certainly not a Large- or Smallmouth, and it lacks an eyespot near the tail which would make it resemble a peacock bass. Looks like a marine baitfish of some sort.
If the finnage were more on display, that would tell the tale. Being a fingerling, it could be a bucketmouth or a sucker. (It certainly isn’t a panfish or a rough fish like a buffalo or gar.) But the Texarkana region is big bass country.
