'Can I ask you guys to shut it down?' Moment Chicago 'Karen' gatecrashes neighbor's Christmas party at 11:10pm to demand music is stopped music at 11:10pm - only to be unceremoniously escorted straight back out

This is the moment a so-called Karen trespassed into a family's home in Chicago to complain about the noise of their Christmas party - only to be quickly thrown out by furious family members.

The video, posted on TikTok by user Katy Ileana, shows a family delighting in Christmas celebrations as they open presents in their kitchen on the evening of December 24, as is traditional for many Hispanic Americans.

Suddenly, a grey haired, bespectacled woman enters through the kitchen door with her arms in the air and says: 'Can I ask you guys to shut it down?

'It's about ten after eleven!' the woman exclaims, pointing at her watch as the stunned family looks on, completely taken aback by her audacity.

After the moment of utter disbelief, one female member of the family steps towards the woman and declares: 'You are not welcome here. Get out of my house right now!'

The trespasser, quickly realizing her mistake, turns hastily to leave before a second family member steps up to support her relative.

Shouts of 'what?!' and ''in the house?!' can be heard from other family members, as the Karen is swiftly ushered back out of the door by the enraged women.

Ileana said the woman threatened to call the police.

Ileana told DailyMail.com: 'It was my aunt's house where this occurred.

'She barged in to tell to us to quiet down and stop our festivities.'

'She began to argue and yell at my family members who escorted her out and threatened to call the cops on us.

'She didn't spoil the party but definitely left an uncomfortable vibe. I definitely felt like she was putting a damper on the Christmas spirit.'

'The woman is my aunt's neighbor. We meet yearly at my aunt's to celebrate Christmas and

I live in an area that is largely a sort ‘barrio’. The folks set off fireworks for all sorts of things, and we’ve heard them going off for days before Christmas, and even until today.

A few weeks ago, someone moved in beneath us. They play music sometimes, but never too loudly. But on Christmas Eve, they started playing it so loud and pounding that it rattled things on our shelves, and we even felt it in our bones. It went on from about 4:30 PM until 11 PM.

We decided we wouldn’t complain about that night - different people celebrate in different ways - but if it went on, we would complain.

Haven’t heard a thing since.

They were pretty low key about her trespassing and watch pointing rudeness. I can think of some other neighbors who would have welcomed her with a punch in the back of the head, and kicks to the same head when she went down.

For many of my neighbors, Vicente Fernandez is one of the favorites. A famous Mexican singer in the Mariachi style.
Actually, I like him too, every so often. I have a CD collection of his songs. I learned about him some 30 years ago. Vicente died a few weeks ago age 81. His music almost demands to be played very loudly or not at all. Festive, boisterous and showy.

Well, I guess like most kids now. Seems to be the young are messed up in general. Once the economic collapse occurs they’ll have to mature quickly or starve.

Had new neighbors who did the same kind of thing. Only they made a regular habit of it well into post bar closing time. Love music, but after a while enough is enough. Let them audition Tommy Bolin’s “Post Toasties” playing on repeat at full volume on a set of JBL L250A speakers playing through a 500 watts per channel Macintosh amp - at 3 am on their work night. The whole house was shaking and I was afraid the doors and window would vibrate off the frames. They got the hint - problem solved .

Cool. My tastes run more to movies like Santo vs. (Zombies, Vampire Women ...). For those who don’t know, Vicente Fernandez was in more Mexican movies than Elvis.

The neighbor lady just wanted some attention. If they had invited her in for a drink she would have accepted in a heart beat.

Maybe entering someone else’s house without their permission is too much for some people who consider it a problem

She trespassed. She was in the house without permission. That’s what seemed to really piss them off, not the noise complaint.

In some parts of this great land walking through someone’s front door, a person not known to you and uninvited with a bad attitude can get the shot.

We had a similar problem with “Hispanic American” neighbors late Sunday night outdoor parties with loud music. The sheriff informed them about fines for such behavior and they stopped.

I live a very rural area.

The neighbors had a habit a certain weekend each summer of having a big party.

They would play music so loud it would keep me awake across the field.

They would camp only a few yards from the property line.

After one such night.

At 530 am when they were all in their tents.

I decide that it was time to mow hay along the property line.

A good size diesel tractor with out its muffler mowing makes noise for sure.

It was the last time for late night music.

I don’t see a real problem with the lady asking them to turn down their noise. Maybe she should have waited till midnight, but she was very polite.

I live in a subdivision-sized city with its own police force. I used to regularly call the police because of ridiculously loud music from the house behind mine. His music was so loud I could scarcely hear my TV. I must have called them out at least half a dozen times before he eventually moved away or died. However, I let loud music and such slide if it is a one-time rare event, like a graduation party, birthday party, etc. This Christmas party probably would not have bothered me.

I did call the police one year on Christmas night. The house next door was occupied by a black family of section 8 types. The boyfriend of one of the slutty daughters was playing the most vile sexually explicit hip-hop "music" I have ever heard on his car stereo while the daughters appeared to be humping or twerking the automobile. This for me was not appropriate for Christmas, so the cops had to shut it down.
