I live in an area that is largely a sort ‘barrio’. The folks set off fireworks for all sorts of things, and we’ve heard them going off for days before Christmas, and even until today.

A few weeks ago, someone moved in beneath us. They play music sometimes, but never too loudly. But on Christmas Eve, they started playing it so loud and pounding that it rattled things on our shelves, and we even felt it in our bones. It went on from about 4:30 PM until 11 PM.

We decided we wouldn’t complain about that night - different people celebrate in different ways - but if it went on, we would complain.

Haven’t heard a thing since.

Had new neighbors who did the same kind of thing. Only they made a regular habit of it well into post bar closing time. Love music, but after a while enough is enough. Let them audition Tommy Bolin’s “Post Toasties” playing on repeat at full volume on a set of JBL L250A speakers playing through a 500 watts per channel Macintosh amp - at 3 am on their work night. The whole house was shaking and I was afraid the doors and window would vibrate off the frames. They got the hint - problem solved .
