New data from the Zoe symptom-tracker app suggests one in two people with new coldlike symptoms will have COVID-19 rather than the common cold.
Tim Spector, an epidemiologist and the study's lead author, said in a press release on Thursday that for most people, getting infected with Omicron would feel "much more like the common cold, starting with a sore throat, runny nose and a headache," rather than fevers, continuous cough, or loss of taste or smell.
To get to the 50% figure, Spector and his team compared the number of new cases of a coldlike illness with the number of new cases of COVID-19 confirmed by a lateral flow or lab test.
According to Spector's findings, people with Omicron who reported symptoms on the Zoe app were less likely to have five or more symptoms than those with Delta.
He has found at least 20 common symptoms that are self-reported by Zoe's 850,000 weekly users. The top five are headache, fatigue, a runny nose, sore throat, and sneezing — similar to the symptoms of the Delta variant.

…aaaaand, until the government saw an opportunity to once again fleece the American people, giving it a SCARY name and spending billions of dollars on a campaign to tell us all to FEAR!!, everybody would simply treat it like a cold and we’d all be fine like we all have since the beginning of time..
It might be fun to put on some PPE (mask and gloves), and maybe take a chance on opening the package outside, in a well ventilated area. Then put some sterile saline on it I use for my contacts, or rubbing alcohol, or cheap vodka... See if it is hard-wired to positive. But honestly, I don’t even want to open it.

Mandatory “vaccination certificates” will require mandatory. More and more like the Chinese “social score” system. Something indeed is up.

There is a bad head cold going around. The symptoms are the exactly the same as a bad head cold(No Fever/ Chills).
No doubt that they are wishing to capitalize on that and call them all covid. These colds will also likely make you test positive in a covid test. These people are so deceptive.
If you have a cold there’s a good chance it’s a cold

Serious question. Does anyone recall when moronic popped up in the US and South Africa?
My wife had a bad cold four weeks ago and got over it in a week. Almost two weeks ago I had a terrible sneezing fit (maybe 50 sneezes in one day) followed by a non-stop runny nose the next. Then two days later, all was fine. We are both vaxxed and boosted due to age. My wife was boosted before she got it; I got the boost a week after getting sick.
I was wondering if we might have had it.
Meaning that now a virus that produces no worse conditions than a cold warrants worldwide panic? OmiCon?
Half of the people in the UK reporting a cold are testing as Covid (omicron variant).
