Government's pervasive oppression is converting people from liberalism

Good luck getting anything done in liberal America without miles of government red tape — even if you're a liberal.

Government is a most discouraging aspect of existence because it is a pervasive given. In the hearts of 99 percent of readers is the desire to be left alone by government. My daughter-in-law started a small charity venture several years ago, and it has grown wildly. She was originally of a liberal bent but now sees government negatively intruding into her efforts. She may not be on board the Trump train, but she has jumped over to the libertarian track.

She wants government to leave her alone, but no! Even charitable ventures must come with their own gift wrapping of red tape. No good enterprise goes unregulated.

I am not conversant in how the government intrudes in my daughter-in-law's enterprise, but the reality of the intrusion has reformed her. If there is anything good coming out of the Biden administration, it is that her reformation is being replicated across America. The reason for this is that the leviathan's intrusions are now directed at the personal enterprise called the "individual American." The intrusions are striking Americans as increasingly more strident, absurd, and hurtful.

I am reminded of the song by the '80s new wave band, Missing Persons: "All I Need Is a Window to Look Through." Their commentary on social isolation now takes on new meaning. People are looking through their windows, and they can't help but see the whack-job that government has become. The visible government doesn't seem to worry about hiding it. It's out in the open. Government is politics. Politics is government, and everything now has or seems to have a political/governmental glaze. The media, entertainment, business, our children's education, our jobs, our leisure — it's all politicized,

“ The reason for this is that the leviathan’s intrusions are now directed at the personal enterprise called the “individual American.” “

Good observation. He points out that people can’t take it anymore because it has moved down to the individual level, where a very politicized, thought-police government seems to be living in your spare bedroom.

The Founders knew power would centralize eventually in spite of everything they designed to prevent it. They included Article V as a remedy but Americans have been too scared to use it. Even an impending Civil War was not enough to overcome the fear. We should use Article V to prevent the second Republican Democrat war from happening because that war will be even worse than the first one was. If it fails we get the war anyways but at least it gave us a chance to avoid it.

What is happening now is not liberalism! It is authoritarian, Marxist collectivism. I wish we would stop giving them the cover of the word liberal. Just look at their vitriol for the liberal Manchin.

The limousine liberals and the clueless ignorant latte liberals are starting to get reached and might just have to face the music. As long as they are isolated and do not have to personally deal with the crap they espouse, they feel good about themselves. But now faced with reality, they are finding out their personal lives just might be suffering a bit from their lofty views of themselves.

To them I say enjoy the cake ass&ole.

Spruce Fontaine is the pen name of an artist and retired college art instructor. I was curious as to who would name their child Spruce. 🙂

Well, he, or she, certainly has my attention, and hopefully the attention of many others. 🙂

I hope so too. But young voters don’t realize that politicians will lie to them so we have a new supply of the gullible for the ‘RATs to prey upon every election. I hope enough older voters will become disgusted when they realize they were lied to.

Any Lib: I’ve had the jabs. I had the extra jab(s). I totally isolate and mask even when alone.

SO Please take the jab.

Oh yeah, and BTW I’ve tested positive for covid.

But please take the jab anyway because I’ve been told they work.
