New York (CNN Business)This year hackers have unleashed cyberattacks against pipelines, ferry boats, meat packers, even police departments. And now they've come for the cream cheese.
In October, a cyberattack against the largest US cheese manufacturer contributed to a nationwide cream cheese shortage shortly before the holidays, Bloomberg News reported, endangering holiday treats for millions.
Bloomberg reported the attack targeted plants and distribution centers. As a result, Wisconsin-based Schreiber Foods was unable to fully operate for several days — just as it was heading into its peak busy period before the Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas holidays.....

Has Psaki blamed Big Cheese?
Sounds like a war is going on.
Now maybe you can explain what happened to all the cherry yogurt. There’s every other fruit included, but cherry yogurt has been missing for months.
Suzy Creamcheese what’s gotten into you?
Two things:
First, since this is a CNN report, there is as likely that the cheese factories were firebombed as it is that they suffered a cyber attack;
Second, Kraft owns “Philadelphia” brand cream cheese. Kraft is really Kraft-Heinz (Kerry). So . . . too, bad. So sorry. Not buying ANY of your stuff.
Those are really just my own opinions, but I’m firm in them.
No cheeseballs for YOU
I was in Aldi’s yesterday and they had boxes of cream cheese.
They also have real butter at $1.99 (limit 6), regularly $2.89.
I ordered a couple Philly Rolls recently - Wednesday and the week before at the local sushi place.
They didn’t skimp on cream cheese and they were really good.
No problems here either. I went to Ralphs and bought 2 at the same price I paid for them for years now. Used to buy cheddar cheese and melt them for my bagels back at Stanford.
My granddaughter just bought a ton of cream cheese 2 nights ago to make me a cheesecake for my birthday..Philly even!
I did however have difficulty finding pimento stuffed olives. I like to mix chopped olives with cream cheese to top celery or spread on bagles.
I know of a custom steel fabricator and heavy equipment manufacturer that has about 500 employees... they got hit about a month ago and it shut them completely down for three weeks. They were calling up local suppliers with questions like...”Could you send us a copy of the purchase order that we believe we have with you? Could you send us records of what we’ve paid you so far?”
whats the brand of real butter? i’d like to actually pick some up
No problem here in NJ getting creme cheese.
No shortage here in my neck of CO.
Two packs of cream cheese for $3 bucks same as it’s been for years.
ALDIs has odd names for “brands”.
I saw a couple buying several packages of what I thought was Land O lakes butter, there, last year.
Upon closer look…it’s a copycat label called Morning Sunrise, or something like that. Same look as LOL.
I just bought a multipack, at Costco. Six. Even lower priced than usual.
There is a local brand called Gina Marie which is rather good.
(technically it’s a bloomberg report)
Philly isn’t the only brand of CC. But they did offer $20 not to make cheesecake to the first 18,000 registrants at their “Spread the Feeling’ campaign website during the very limited entry.
IF you didn’t find the easteregg, it’s too late now.

Or off site backup at least?
Do they not fear OSHA and the IRS?
