An IGA has apologised for displaying a sign telling staff to ring a bell for assistance if an African customer entered the store.
Fury at the Sunshine West supermarket, west of Melbourne, grew after images circulated online showing a racist message taped to the liquor cashier’s desk.

I was wondering what they meant by ‘African’.
You mean, Australia has the same problems with Africans as us?

It sounds like if he requested the assistant that there will be two people.
I don’t know, maybe they got ripped off multiple times at one of the security cabinets when someone asked for assistance who was African.
Maybe that’s how these robberies started, you ring for an assistant in order to get everyone out of the back and off the security station where they could call the cops.

I am 1% black (really), .01 x 1 +1 = 1.01%. I guess I will never notice the difference in service at IGA. Sometimes it sucks to be white. LOL
My wife is a very skilled software engineer (now we are both retired) and was paid big bucks for her skills. She is 100% Mexican from Mexico but educated in our universities, UT Texas. She graduated number 1 in computer science in her class. She earned her positions by her skill and not her race. She resents affirmative action as it makes many that do not know her think she had her position due to race and not skill.
The most surprising thing in the article is that IGA still exists.
I’ll second that. The racism charge is a crutch used to avoid looking in the mirror.
