Universities and corporations are desperate to hire people whose sole job is to tell you how racist you are.
In a recent discussion about the "wokeness" situation in American universities, Prof. Kimberly Johnson presented a table showing the salary compensation data for DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) personnel at Michigan State University (MSU) in 2018–2019. It contains 82 full-time positions ranging from a modest $42,000 salary for the administrative assistant to $408,000 for chief diversity officer (that's just above the salary of the POTUS, at $400,000). The total annual compensation for DEI staff at MSU is $10.6 million. Isn't that too much for one university?
The number of students at MSU is approximately 50,000; the staff consists of 5,500 academics and 7,400 administrators. So one DEI specialist should ideologically serve, on average, 767 people. The Soviet Union, mind you, could not afford such a luxury. In 1970, for example, the population aged 15–59 was 142.6M; the number of paid party employees ("nomenklatura") on all levels was 99,505. That's 1,433 adults per one party bureaucrat (of course, an exact comparison is impossible; all figures here and below are given just to demonstrate the level of magnitude). Assuming that no more than 20% of "apparatchiks" worked exclusively on the "ideological front," each Soviet bureaucrat was responsible for 7.5 times as many minds as their counterparts at MSU.

It is rampant in my company now. The acronym I use is DIE, because it is killing the bottom line, adds no value, and is causing people to be more guarded. DIE is a variation of Charlie Manson beliefs - pitting races against each other for marxist ends. Any questioning or inquiry about DIE is prima facie evidence of “racism”. Silence is racism too. I see a lot of white and black women pushing this with the highly paid white executives (innoculating themselves) as their benefactor masters who pretend they are not. Non-American, non-EU colleagues are “politely silent” - I would bet they are probably thinking how crazy this is. I don’t blame countries (e.g. Japan) to structure their immigration to remain homogenous.
University where I work decided their purchasing practices are racist.
So now they have a committee working on a 5-year plan to develop a “Supplier Diversity and Inclusion” strategic plan.
The biggest phony baloney jobs ever. Why do organizations need this position (other than for window dressing, to virtue signal and look woke)? Just tell whoever is running HR that you want them to diversify who they recruit and hire.
So do they wear armbands?
I don't know if they do all of the time. They may want to blend in with the crowd at the struggle sessions and forced confessions.

I had no idea how prescient I would be.
This is preparation for the extermination of legacy US citizens and their replacement by the illegal border invaders.
It will soon be “racist” to hire actual US citizens, even if they aren’t white.
This is the demonkkkrap-marxist-leftist implementation of fascism. Companies are “paying” for “protection” from what the left will do to them with the weaponized feral givernment now under their control - and that includes the courts. It’s a cost of doing business. Eventually though it will cause problems and collapse.
They might want to spread some of that DEI mustard to television commercials which are beginning to look like the NBA now with all those black faces. The commercials are the corporate version of Black, that is, white folks in traditional white relationships doing white things while wearing blackface.
If whites don’t stand up and push back they will live to regret it as will their progeny.
Don’t work at a place that has one.
And we all thought all of those graduates with LGBTQ, Women's Studies and African History degrees were going to have difficulty finding jobs? Think again!
DEI jobs are perfectly designed for Affirmative Action graduates who have spent their academic years preparing them to victimize those who just want do be freedom loving Americans who want to provide goods and services to their fellow citizens while providing for their families.
Goodbye America! Hello China/USSR.
