Moderna MRNA, -4.36% CEO Stéphane Bancel has left no doubt whether he’s taking a glass half-full or half-empty approach to the emergence of the new omicron coronavirus variant.
He told the Financial Times there’s no world where current vaccines are as effective as they have been against the delta variant. And he suggested the drop-off could be significant.
“I think it’s going to be a material drop. I just don’t know how much because we need to wait for the data. But all the scientists I’ve talked to . . . are like, ‘This is not going to be good’.”
The interview put another scare into financial markets, with futures on the Dow industrials YM00, -1.69% contract losing more than 500 points. “The major vaccine makers have offered timelines of two to six weeks for assessing its vaccine evading capabilities, and in the meantime, travel shutdowns and behaviour modification are a risk as we await anecdotal and statistical evidence of the spread of the virus and its virulence,” said Steen Jakobsen, chief investment officer at Saxo Bank…

That’s okay, Falsie will promote another worthless booster in the meantime and millions will line up for it and whatever “vaccine” they come out with in a year. Never mind that you will have to be tested to know if you even have it because the symptoms are so mild.
One, they are going to use it as an excuse for their obviously under-performing vaccines. The vaccines were touted as 95% effective (or more) when they were introduced. Now that we are in phase 3 trials of the experimental drugs we're finding out that is laughably inaccurate. The actual number appears to be closer to zero. Several studies now show that by 6 months the vaccines impart virtually no protection. Initial protection is apparently not great either. Why else is there so much fear of the un-vaccinated, why are vaccinated and un-vaccinated alike told to mask up, social distance, etc? We're told the vaccines don't actually prevent catching or transmitting the virus - kind of makes you wonder why they call them vaccines. Sure, no vaccine is 100% effective, but people that get the measles or polio vaccines don't worry about subsequently catching either. People with the covid vaccines are still (rightly) so afraid of catching covid they are reacting with fear rather than logic in demanding everyone get vaxxed. (no-one is safe until we're all safe BS) Now that emperor vax has no clothes, they'll claim the omicron variant stole them.
Two, I'll bet you anything you care to name, anything, that in the next few weeks one or more of the current vax companies will "miraculously" come up with a slightly different formulation of their vax that (claims anyway) to significantly improve protection from omicron. This will be used as the basis for a push to vax kids, get all the vaxxed boosters, and of course beat up on those pesky liberty-loving un-vaxxed.
Moderna and Biontech have already begun work on an omicron booster.
New vaccines are easy to make.
It is the human testing that is the hard part!

Now the question is if this was all planned to collapse the market, or if this is an unintended side effect to allow world powers to luck us down again until a new vaccine can be made?

Or the virus is “smarter” than the experts and life will find a way. The saving grace is it appears this variant is more infectious but with symptoms more resembling a common head-cold. This may be our way out of this government engineered mess thru natural herd immunity.
The “common cold” is a coronavirus. So yeah.
Unfortunately, if you want to travel to the US Virgin Islands, a Negative test is required & results must be uploaded to the Virgin Islands Tourism site to be admitted. I’m in St. Croix right now if you think restrictions are bad back home, if you come here you can’t go inside anyplace without a mask 7 if you get up from your dinner table to walk around without a mask, you get yelled at by staff, signs are everywhere.
The best shot for protection against the WuFlu is a shot through the center of the screen of your TV.
With additional boosters as you deem necessary.

Thank you for that.... I think you just defined my summer project for me. Get the cabin properly winterized and finish getting it off grid so that when the SHTF, I’ll just go there and from a distance, tell all those folks to stuff it where the sun don’t shine....

With all due respect, maybe I am tired from working outside, but where does it say they have completed double blind peer reviewed studies?
You got Jab #1 in March, Jab # 2 in April, Jab # 3 in Oct, and in January you’ll be told you are unvaccinated, you need to O-Boost, because Alpha, Beta and Delta just aren’t out there anymore, it’s all Omicron.

It may end Covid vaccines.
If Omicron takes off like Delta did, and soon all you have out in the wild infecting people is Omicron, and the current vaccines don’t work, you are not going to be able to tell people that they need a 4th shot in a year, because the new variant made the other 3 worthless.
You wouldn’t be able to get but a small percentage of people to go for that, and trying to mandate it would make it worse. I don’t think they can.
And, depending on how fast Omicron spreads, and how much further they delay the current mandates, Omicron might end up putting the kibosh the Jab-1, Jab-2 mandates, as well.
They haven’t. It’s outrageous that he would make this comment without any lab work. I was being sarcastic
What is bad for Moderna is good for me.
