Glenn Beck, in 2010, when he had 3.5m viewers, put our “Patriot’s History of the United States” at the NEW YORK TIMES #1 slot-—not Amazon-—in three weeks.
There are no Becks on the right. Even Rush Limbaugh, when he would heavily tout his Limbaugh Letter interviewee’s books, didn’t move books like Beck did. Now, one of the Faux News hosts will do about 50,000-100,000 total. (Thanks to Beck, we moved 19,000 in ONE DAY).
Most publishers won’t even touch you unless you have a TV, radio, or web platform with millions of viewers or listeners. So, this makes Fatboy Slim’s book particularly pathetic. Before Beck got ahold of “Patriot’s History,” with almost no advertising, we got to #37 on Amazon, and I’ve had three books in the top 30.
