Dodge's future is suddenly a lot clearer and it includes electrification but not Hellcats.
We sat down with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis at the 2021 LA auto show, and he laid out some of what will happen at Dodge over the next two years.
Regarding Hellcat models, Kuniski confirmed to Motor Authority "I will have this car, this platform, this powertrain as we know it through the end of '23. There's two more years to buy a Hellcat, then it's history."

Go sell golf carts you fools
Buh-bye Dodge and Chrysler.
The babyfication of the world continues apace.
Stupid as a day-old meadow muffin.
Hellcat is the technological proving ground for the entire corporation
Vehicle manufacturers around the world are virtue signaling their move to electric vehicles as if there will be a massive switch from one day to the next from petroleum. But what if there is a lack of electricity generation/charging stations? The market demand for oil based fuels will continue as will the supply.
This is why I’m finishing the restoration of my 67 Camaro. Not going to be able to purchase anything comparable.
But I must say, this electric car dream is doomed to failure. None of the infrastructure exists.
Too bad. The Hellcat is pretty much the only American Made Car that I have coveted for a couple of years.
What’s more, a huge, elaborate and mostly efficient system exists to get oil out of the ground and into your car’s gas tank. To simply abandon this network and structure(s) is foolish folly. Show me a battery powered airline fleet and I’ll listen to arguments for electric cars. Until then, just shut the hell up about electric and solar. They (and the Green New Deal) have a place and it’s where the sun don’t shine...SSZ
Car buyers are not the ones Mopar needs make happy, it Wall Street, the Banks, and Blackrock, and all they want are electric cars ....
Alternative energies can’t mine and manufacture the materials needed for alternative energy devices and systems.
Yes sir !
Good points.
It can’t be easy to plan strategy for this stuff with huge investments and long lead times.
If Dems stay in charge there will be little choice but to go with juice.
But if Trump is back in 2025, then the game changes once more.
Nor is my Ram
Good Lord what junk.
Keep the engine and retire the careless name. Other careless names: ASU Sun Devils, Church of Skatan skateboard shop, and Dirt Devil vacuums. Sheesh. Always pay your parking tickets and never give an inch to demons.
it may not be a golf cart but it does have an electrically operated gas pedal...
it’s drive by wire technology...
there’s no mechanical linkage between that gas pedal and the throttle body on the engine...
My scooter goes 65 mph and gets 87 mpg. It is the ideal vehicle for SW Florida. I keep the MR2 Spyder in the garage most days.
I have the 2021 Durango version. My thirty year track record of no speeding tickets should be going byes bye soon.
