Reporting on skyrocketing ingredients prices for Thanksgiving Day. Please feel free to chime in!
Was in the store a few days ago and someone asked for cranberry sauce - store said they were out and weren’t expecting it to come back in.
Gas in Northeast Ohio last year at this time was $1.53. It is now $3.23.
The consequential costs of the 2020 stolen election are incalculable.
I am frying fish (that I caught), potatoes (that I grew), greens (that I grew), and pumkin pie that I will make myself.
Maybe $20 at most.

I have yet to do my Thanksgiving Day ingredients shopping. I usually buy whole fresh cranberries for DIY sauce. fortunately I have $75 worth of free groceries as my husband’s HVAC supplier sends out gift cards.
Has anyone priced a “Honey Baked Ham” this year? Incredible increase in prices for Turkey and Ham.

Nothing seems to be in short supply so far as I have seen.

Smoked a brisket for Thanksgiving last year which cost $65. Ordered the same size brisket again this year and it’s $91.
Cranberries are available.
And on sale.

yep i usually stock up and throw a few bags into the chest freezer. I’m going out there later today to do a list of what I need. We froze a turkey from last year so we will be using that to deep fry. Brining starts Monday.
Must be what part of the country you’re in as to what is/isn’t available. I’ve heard of other parts of the country where turkeys are in short supply and I’ve seen plenty of them on my forays into the grocery store.
My aunt grinds up cranberries to make her own sauce - but doesn’t put enough sugar in it to make it palatable - she also uses orange peel which give the sauce a bitter taste. It’s always been a family joke but no one is brave enough to tell her otherwise.
Americans struggle to keep a job, feed their kids, pay their bills, heat their homes, and find affordable food for their tables.
Meanwhile........the parasitic BIDEN CRIME FAMILY are all going to posh Nantucket for Thanksgiving.......sucking up tax dollars on AF ONE, LUXURY HOTELS AND ENDLESS FEASTING.

There are two of us and I am shocked at how high my grocery bills have gotten.
I used to buy two packaged salmon filets that were already cooked, they weren’t cheap, $14, but when pressed for time, they’re great. Checked the other day and they were going for $24. No thanks. I’ll cook my own from now on, but even the uncooked ones have gotten very expensive.
