FOUR days of deliberations ?
This is an open and shut case.
What is going on, please?
I'm starting to feel the worst for Kyle.
Maybe they "got" to the jury. Jury intimidation is a real thing.
There is no way they should be taking this long!
ACQUIT!
We all know the facts, the jury knows the facts, but the jury goes home every night and sees the news, and please don't tell me the judge told them not to watch the news.
They are afraid for their lives, their children and their relatives.
The judge should do the right thing and declare a mistrial with prejudice and thank the jury for their service.
He should then bring charges against the prosecutors and they should be dis-barred.
Have you been watching Rikita Law? Barnes thinks she is an old time liberal who should never have been allowed on the jury.
The connection that I am saying that is not correct, is that perjury results in mistrial. I don’t disagree with the definition of perjury.
The car lot owner evidence you cite could be a Brady violation, wehre prosecution does not share evidence in its possession that favors the defendant. Maybe.
But as far as the LAW goes, whether or not Kyle has permisison, or was asked to be there, that angle isn;t relevant. It’s prosecution generated smoke and a good defense team would object to the evidence on that basis. It’s not relevant.
Lying about something that is not material to the case isn’t even perjury.
Note that I am not defending the prosecution or the conduct of this trial. Just saying that you make a leap when you assert “mistrial.”
Perjury has its quirks too. Counsel in a case are advocates, so they get to lie without risk of committing perjury. What they risk is losing the case, depending on the judge’s attitude and the outcome the judge wants to get in the case overall.
I don’t trust that some jury members have $$$ signs in their eyes and therefore a conviction or being a holdout for conviction is what gets them paid.
Yes, I’ve been following this on Rekieta Law. It’s great. I like Barnes’s take, and he developed it from Baris on People’s Pundit Daily. This coverage is light years more informative than anything the media offers.
Sometimes I think I would rather be carried by six than judged by 12 of my “peers”.
That's what the liberals want to achieve - weaken your resolve to defend your own life.
They also aim to make you subservient to the state, no matter how off the wall and evil the state is, they will shove "rule of law" in your face when they thrpow you in jail, gulag, or execute you for the greater good.
The mission is to weaken your sense of independence and your fight.
“Sorta like the members of the Supreme Court.”
EXACTLY like that. No way can this be considered a fair trial.
It’s the “you are close to the line and may have crossed it” the Judge said after the 5th Amendment argument. Now the drone footage they shared not being the same quality they had. Now the brothers on video with the “militia” group and Kyle. They had footage of it but still put both brothers on the stand to lie.
There seems to be a jovial “another day at the office” and “don’t sh-t where you eat” lack of strong advocacy from this defense team.
Aggravating to watch.
BS! Conservative women are out there target practicing so they can defend themselves as well as Kyle did.
Women should never be allowed on a jury? Huge hunk of BS. I say men have no common sense so maybe they're the ones that shouldn't be allowed on a jury. How's that for stereotyping?!
I know three rabid liberal women, my neighbor, my daughter and my niece. Without a doubt, I know each one of them would gleefully convict KR and nothing would change their minds. It would be their liberal badge of honor for the rest of their lives.
One or more of the jurors is writing a book. Them need more material.
Also an example of cognitive dissonance.
There’s the false media narrative that Kyle was a white supremacist there to hunt black people. He was a minor with a gun who crossed state lines militia proud boy. So they heard that month after month.
Okay. Now here comes all the actual evidence showing every bit of that is bs.
So the prosecution pivoted to the “provocation” can’t bring a gun to a fist fight and the gun itself is provocation. They were heroes trying to disarm the killer.
WE see through the loses. But if you bought into the lie here’s a way to keep that POV.
Libs are all about how they will be perceived. There’s no way they’ll side with the working class “Trumpkin” Kyle. They’ll sacrifice his freedom and life on the altar of wokeness.
Jury selection is where the case went wrong. After that it was guaranteed to be a hung jury.
A retrial cuts out the curfew charge and the the gun charge. Kyle can appeal the denial of a mistrial with prejudice. They should do the hearing with sworn in witnesses the judge mentioned over the issue of drone footage.
So a retrial is a good way to go at this point.
And Branca has been on Rekieta the last few days also. He does one hell of a job explaining things.
They get paid the same, win or lose, but they also have more marketable value if they are proven winners. Why hire a lackluster team? Usually, it's a cost-based choice. The part-time winners don't charge as much.
Criminal "justice" is one of several paths in the legal industry. Quality is highly variable - in part due to intellecualy capacity, and in part due to intellectual dishonesty. Like all industries, it is mostly self-serving, and it promulgates myths about how great, honest, and essential it is.
-- Aggravating to watch. --
Cure for that is don't watch it. There is nothing you can do to affect the outcome, or to improve the quality of the industry. Locally, vote against all Dem prosecutors and sheriffs.
I get aggravated too .... once in awhile have to step back and take stock of all my blessings and the limits of what I can do.
Yes, He’s great with self-defense explanations.
I think that there are one or two people who are afraid for their lives. Maybe they’re deadlocked.
