I was reading through a monthly summary of prescription drug benefits of a family member. And I saw this notation in section 4 regarding updates to the plan’s drug list. It says that beginning November 1, 2021 “prior authorization“ will be required for ivermectin. And that the insured or their doctor will need to get approval from the plan before they will agree to cover the drug for that insured individual. Now, I am not sure how difficult they will make it to get the preapproval, but this certainly smacks of more corporate practice of medicine, And more layers of complexity and bureaucracy. I do understand that an insurance company would have an interest in reducing their costs. However, ivermectin is off patent, and incredibly inexpensive to manufacture. Furthermore, as either a therapeutic or preventative measure I find it hard to imagine anything else with a greater cost benefit for Covid sufferers. When a person is in a fascist system, they come to realize that the government does not truly care about the citizens. I know I am preaching to the converted. But I wanted to give others a heads up on ivermectin coverage by insurance plans, and see what others may have experienced.
Wilco will let you have one tube if you say you have a horse. Otherwise ValleyVet.com has plenty but takes a couple days.
The key is to get it onboard asap and get it working with zinc.
*** Do you know the names of retail farm supply places that carry it? My wife tested positive for covid yesterday. I tested negative twice in the last 2 weeks but we are both quarantined. ***
My Wally World carries it. Over by fish, and hamster stuff. $7.49 a tube. It says Horse Health Paste on the box which is about the size of a medium tooth paste tube box.
“ Just buy horse ivermectin and take a pea-sized drop.
Tastes like absolute $h*t but it killed my covid in a day.”
The dispenser has marked 50 pound increments on the plunger. If you weight 150, you lock it in at 3 increments. If you weight 225, lock it in at 5 (round up). I mix mine with applesauce and you can’t even tell it’s there.

Order it off Amazon if you can’t find it locally
Try asking the staff. D&B Supply had it on the shelf & then it was removed. A friend went to get some, & after assuring the staff person she wanted it for her HORSE, she was allowed to buy it.
The good news is that you can get ivermectin 20 tablets for $34 with a GOODRX coupon.
I know. But I just tried the TS store here in Aiken County, SC and was able to get curbside delivery. Didn't finish the order as I have plenty of horse paste on hand.
The stuff you read about not being for humans is BS. I've been taking the paste for the past 3 months with no problems.
But remember the prophylactic does is .2mg/kg 1x per week or month (sources vary) but the infection dose is 2x-3x PER DAY for 5 days AT FIRST SIGN OF SYMPTOMS. I didn’t know about the increased dose and probably would have gotten over it more quickly had I done so.
I didn’t even submit my ivm/zinc prescription to our health insurance. It was about 60, and I’m going to refill it and not submit that either.
My parents were prescribed ivm/zinc when they got covid, and their doctor prescribed it for my sister and I when we moved into their house to care for them for two weeks. My folks are doing great, covid was relatively mild for them, mainly fatigue, loss of appetite, and brain fog.
My sister and I never got covid,, never had symptoms, we tested negative to clear quarantine after ten days.
Bob:
If you tested negative once, why go back and test again?
pushhealth.org is where I get Hydroxychloroquine for me and Ivermectin for my wife.
Don’t take the veterinary version.... Get a script for FDA approved for human usage Soolantra (Ivermectin). Good RX shows local price here for 20 3 mg tablets at $29.72. Do not even try to get your insurer cover it. Believe my, THEY WON’T unless you are taking it for helminthic purposes.
I have had some trouble getting a pharmacy to dispense it but after calling a few I have found one who will.
The insurers are, in my opinion, practicing medicine without a license, but of course they claim they are not telling you what you should or should not take, they are just telling you what they will pay for !
Excellent advice!
My wife’s symptoms started subsequent to my most recent test.
Thanks, I’ll stick with the horse version. What’s good enough for million dollar race horses is good enough for me.

Now that’s funny !!
I just checked with my anthem medicare plan and Ivermectin 12mg 20 pills will cost me 1.66
