despite what Mayock called “significant concerns” about his character. Arnette was rated lower on most draft rankings but the Raiders believed after talking to his coaches at Ohio State that they could develop him on and off the field. Stupid is painful and expensive.

The dirty little open secret about many pro football players is many really never received (or earned really) an education. And with many it probly goes back to 8th or 9th grade all the way through college.
They have talent to play football so rules are bent to get them through classes so they can play.
Especially college...SI MUCH money involved.
Couple that with many of these kids not having a dad when growing up for guidance and this is what you get...or they get drunk and drive a supercar 150 mph and kill an innocent person.
Very sad.

Notice that the ATF isn’t raiding his home. I bet the gun he has is illegal, and/or he’s prohibited from carrying a firearm. Looks like a Mac-10 or Tec-9 of some sort, which is clearly banned under the 1934 National Firearms Act.
