Majorities of Latinos say discrimination is worse and getting ahead is harder for Hispanics with darker skin, but about 80 percent see themselves as having lighter skin, a Pew Research Center poll found.
Latinos responding to the Pew survey released Thursday said skin color affects their lives, with 62 percent saying having darker skin hurts Hispanics’ ability to get ahead at least a little. Fifty-nine percent said getting ahead is easier for Latinos with lighter skin color.
The survey respondents tended to pick the lightest shades when they were asked to select one of 10 images of hands, shaded fair to dark, that most resembled their skin color.
One in 4 Latinos chose the four lightest, and the largest share, 28 percent, chose the second-lightest skin color....

What the Pell Survey might have broken out that would be more helpful, given that 1 in 7 minority members are foreign-born, is whether that colorism they experience is less or equal to that which they left in their home countries. I'd bargain it would be more in their home country.

Skin Bleaching is popular across the world. Commonly understood among those of color...”Lighter is Better”....even for employment in some nations they mention lighter skins desired.
Latino’s aren’t white...self-delusional.

Go to Youtube and watch some of the Chinese dramas from the PRC. Those girls are look like Scandinavians with their hair died black!
Then there are the deeply “naturally” tanned and the mantanned.

Good? It will wake them up if nothing else. Hipanics have long been a tool of the left, just look at the attempted name change from Latino. Democrats don’t truly understand a lot of the words they use authoritatively. I read an article over at DailyCaller proving so, “’Grotesque’: Fox News Panelist Astonished That Leftists Won’t Defend Winsome Sears Amidst Racist Attacks”, so give that a look. Fact: Virginia can’t be a racist state for electing Youngkin because they also elected a black female as Lt. Governor (Winsome Sears). Dims = crickets. Some hispanics do look white-white and others very much do not. It’s always been confusing for me. Not my fight though. They can sort it out.
Damn right it is. And it’s okay to not be too. You have a lot of control in and over your own life, but your birth race is NOT one of those things.
I just learned maybe 3 years ago that Dan Bongino is Italian and NOT ‘black’. Either way he is a good guy.
The preference for lighter skin among Hispanics is not unique to our culture. I was once in a Mexican nightclub in Guadalajara many years ago, and out of the probably six-hundred people there that night, there was one blonde girl who, like a queen bee, was absolutely surrounded by a dense pack of males desperately seeking her attention.
I think people should be judged by their abilities but it is what it is.....
most of we average people have suffered discrimination in many ways that we don't dwell...most of us don't even think about it.....
