"Not if he’s lucky enough to get sentenced while a Democrat is in the WH."

I doubt if the President's party affiliation has much to do with whatever Arec is eventually charged with- I expect the charges to be state charges, unless it happened on feral property.

Have Baldwins lawyers made any public statements?

Yep, they said they will defend Baldwin until he's broke.

We’ll see, but I highly doubt it.
I think most here just hate him so much they want it to happen. The production companies likely have insurance, and if needed, they can all probably fold and emerge under a new name.

Perhaps for awhile.

The armorer he hired is tge real trainwreck gere, and she deserves the most time in prison out of anyone for this totally unnecessary disaster.

That is what I think happened. Is it murder to point a gun at someone and pull the trigger thinking it is unloaded? Lawyers might know. However, it is easily manslaughter, not that he will probably be prosecuted. The facts of how he shot her may also stay covered up.

If he was convicted, it would be a NM state case, so Biden could not pardon him.

I doubt they will settle for as much as $10M. Husband is a lawyer and presumably knows right lawyer and firm to hire.

Amos Burke of Burke’s Law would bring Baldwin to justice and Ben Matlock won’t be around to take the case, as much money as Baldwin would have offered him.

Ah, but Paul Drake, at the direction of Perry Mason will discover who placed the live ammo in the gun after the armorer checked it in. Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin will persuade the most guilty party to do himself in so that Wolfe doesn't have to testify at trial.

I agree with you about the armorer.

I downloaded the rules they were supposed to follow. She became culpable when she left weapons unlocked on a tray.

The armorer, the assistant director, and Baldwin are all guilty, each of them, should be prosecuted. And it will be almost impossible to prosecute one with prosecuting all three.

This is why I think Baldwin will be prosecuted. The armorers and the assistant director will rat him out.

I feel sorry for her. She was inexperienced for this kind of fast paced rag tag shoot. She was in over head and overworked. A real armorer would have turned the job down for this kind of circus atmosphere. The armorer needs not only the responsibility but the authority to slow things down if too much is happening too quickly in too many places. If Alec was practicing his quick draw (as has been reported) there need not be anything in the chamber for that. Not even dummies. Hannah will learn an expensive lesson from this. maybe Alec will too.

You probably already know this but the producer on set was Arec Barwin.

Alec Baldwin is credited as a producer on ‘Rust.’ What does that really mean?

well hes the producer, hes got liability and he has responsibility for hiring the armorer

he did shoot her but he also trusted several people who told him the gun was safe

he also probably was not aware the armorer and some of the crew used that gun after hours the night prior to fire live rounds

he’s still negligent, he fired the gun and shot and killed someone, regardless

he has been around and using blank guns and guns used on movies for over 3 decades and can’t say he hasn’t heard safety talks about the proper handling of guns on sets

she has a history of screwing up with guns

she is a model who turned into an armorer attempting to live off her dad’s name power, as he is a successful movie armorer

she is not qualified to work as an armorer

she blew out Nicholas Cages ear drums firing a gun without warning on the last movie before this one

she also was using this gun with the crew the night before to fire live rounds with

then lied to cops saying she had no idea there were 500 live rounds on the set, even thoygh she was firing the gun with some of the crew with those live rounds the night before

I don’t feel sorry for her one bit

I feel sorry for the people shot and the one that died

she is not qualified to work as an armorer

All points well taken. I doubt she will work as an armorer again or anything to do with movie sets. With that said, I believe it was incompetence and not malice at work here. I'm sure she didn't mean for anyone to get hurt. And she wasn't present at the shooting itself (or so is reported). However the main perp was. Quick Draw Alec could should have checked the chambers himself. Was that beneath him?

i never said it was malice

and that doesnt change negligence

imwould say its gross negligence that should be a manslaughter charge, whatever the maximum penalty can be, she should get it

because she screwed up, and others believed her which caused them to screw up
