A year or so ago, we had a sudden flurry of ‘accidental deaths’ of young men falling out of 3rd story windows, porches, roofs, or other high edifices, appearing in our Trauma Rooms.
It was obviously a new style of whacking people while saving lead and brass. Truly horrifying stuff, and I saw plenty of it.
There is little respect for life out there in the Hood, and I for one am interested in getting out of Dodge.
Head for the hills is the old saying, and I am seriously interested in doing just that.
The amount of carnage that I have personally beheld with my own eyes is enough for a single lifetime. I finally walked away from it after not so many years of enduring it. It is simply not my cup of tea.

When I was in college we were having a big party on the outside balcony of the mens' dorns, and a very intoxicated upper-classman accidentally threw himself off a sixth floor balcony right above a concrete patio.
Fortunately I grabbed his arm and, after dangling a few seconds, hoisted him back over the railing. In those few seconds he sobered right up.
I may have let him dangle a few seconds extra, just for effect...
