The 47-year-old news anchor — who muscled her way into the evening slot in 2019 as she fled a reportedly strained relationship with co-host Gayle King on “CBS This Morning” — now stands vulnerable to the network’s bean counters as her ratings have stayed stubbornly stuck in third place, according to sources close to the situation.
Insiders likewise pointed to O’Donnell’s hefty pay package that is in the ballpark of $8 million a year and a three-year contract that’s slated to expire next spring.

Someone who makes $8 Million a year has no business reporting the news.
How can someone making that much have any sympathy for people losing their homes, or jobs, or having medical issues? They put on a fake sad face and report it with a sad tone full of concern. Hypocrites!
shes not a news anchor...another example...Megan Kelly, she just came off as too bitchy, among other things, and people tuned out....just the way it is. Watch the View for 20 minutes...you’ll hear train whistles going off in yer head...its hideous...

Also, you’re correct on the LOCALS getting it right, following Rush’s lead. My local AM Conservative Talk hosts are pretty darn good! And this is Wisconsin, Fer Pete’s Sake! I’d imagine bigger markets have even better ‘local talent.’

Reading the news on TV has to be the most inefficient delivery mechanism there is. Even if they honestly tried to present the news, there’s so little time that they just can’t say anything substantial. So they just jam in as much rat propaganda as they can in 22 minutes.
CBS, NBC, and ABC all are agenda driven propaganda venues and not worth your time.
