Tech kingpin Elon Musk continues to solidify his status as the world's richest man, with a personal fortune of $230 billion that dwarfs even that of his closest rival, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
The two magnates have seen dueling wealth totals in recent years, as Musk's various industrial endeavors — including electric car company Tesla and space exploration firm SpaceX — have borne fruit. Bezos, meanwhile, saw a massive jump in wealth over the course of the pandemic due to the public's high reliance on Amazon.
Musk made headlines last week when he tweeted a not-so-subtle "second place" trophy in what was an obvious taunting of Bezos.
The richest individual in modern history is estimated to be John D. Rockefeller, whose roughly $1 billion fortune in the early 20th century would be valued at well over $400 billion today.

I never watched it because I assumed it was a “Let’s Hate America” show the way it’s now very fashionable to hate Christopher Columbus. Maybe I’ll watch it now.
There are richer people, but they stay secluded to stay safe.
The Rothchilds come to mind. They are probably worth 10X or more than Musk.
At least Musk has some conservative views (or maybe libertarian) while Bezos owns the execrable rag, the Washington Compost.

I don’t know him, but I doubt he tithes. Doing so creates problems for rich guys like him.
Research how Google came to exist. Yup, we largely paid to make those commies rich also.

Past a certain point, wealth accumulation becomes a game. That being said, Elon is a worker. He had a battery manufacturing problem and nearly worked himself to death (100-150 hours a week) as a billionaire.
His work ethic is greater then 99% of the people I have met. I wouldn’t kill myself for money or even come close. Money doesn’t have that value.
His advances in space and (whether we believe in the green new deal or not) battery/electric cars technology is simple amazing. No government agency could hope to compete for twice the money.
Why the attack? The pictures show a lot less than what you’d see at any beach or swimming pool. Since you brought up a priest. I guess he never seen all the full nudity of the Sistine Chapel or greatest art of the Italian renaissance.
In general and I am one, Americans are too hung up on nudity.
