While continuing to assist homeowners that have turned into their parents, Dr. Rick heads to the airport with a group of his patients. Right from the beginning, things are not looking great when Rick finds out that every homeowner is using a paper ticket. The doctor assures that there is nothing him and his patients can't overcome, even this extremely challenging day at the airport. As snack bags are exposed and gate agents are bothered, it's obvious that these homeowners simply can't help who they've become. While Progressive might not be able to prevent customers from becoming their parents, the company says it can offer a variety of insurance policies.
You know you can screenshot your boarding pass, or store it in Apple Wallet Etc.? Then you don’t have to worry about your connectivity.
I made sure my wife saw that one. NO PLACE TO SIT!!
As long as you get there prior to boarding, it doesn’t matter that they are overbooked. You’ve usually checked in online now so they don’t know who isn’t there until the actual boarding is almost complete.
“It’s okay, Joe”, says the Japanese car manufacturer. “I still can’t say Chev-lo-ret.” Best commercial ever! And impossible to make now because it was be a case of razy lacism.
I like that one too. So true.
Ah, the good old days...
I think these commercials are funny. But I don’t have a “Live Laugh Love” sign.
But I DO remember when my daughter was in about the 8th grade, and we went to the shopping mall around Christmas time (and I hated shopping and RARELY went to the mall). And we went in, and I was admiring and commenting on the Christmas decorations there, and she said to me, “Mom, act like you have BEEN HERE BEFORE!”, so apparently I was embarrassing her. LOL
As for paper tickets, my phone keeps telling me every day that I need to sign on to gmail on it, so it can keep me in touch with everything? WTF???? I expect they are missing some opportunities to track me or spy on me. So, no.... not going to do that. (I also am not a faithful user of cell phone and cell phone technology, it seems...)
Now that's funny, as he throws it in the garbage.
“I love these commercials with the guy trying to re-train the homeowners who have turned into their parents. They’re funny. As one who finds politics in EVERYTHING, I didn’t in these.”
Totally agree. I think they are funny.
My kids totally think I’m crazy because I get to the airport 2 hours before takeoff, so I can relate to the commercials lol.
A movie that could never be made today. I am surprised you can even buy it still.
These commercials are hilarious.
They're terrific. The guy who plays "Dr. Rick" couldn't be better.
We as a country used to have a sense of humor.
Airplane!, Blazing Saddles, Trading Places, Revenge of the Nerds; there's a lot of very funny movies that wouldn't get made in today's Woke Hollywood.
Imagine if he started poking fun at Karen's, that would be a hoot.
When you find yourself "naming" birds at your feeder or yelling out when a new one drops by, you might be an older person.
>>You know you can screenshot your boarding pass, or store it in Apple Wallet Etc.? Then you don’t have to worry about your connectivity.<<
Still too much fumbling. The paper pass is easier by at least 50%.
I have no idea what an Apple Wallet is. If I wanted “me too” tech I would get LG or something.
I'd rather have something in my hand. I've had paper tickets to ballgames that wouldn't scan, and who knows about the phone battery. Why add the possibility of trouble?
The whole airport thing, though, is a visual illustration of how the theatre of safety and security has completely caused common sense to become extremely uncommon. While in the airport, and watching as dozens of people complied (including myself) to the totally unnecessary orders of taking off a belt, shoes, watch- putting electronic devices in a separate bin for X-ray, it occurred to me why people wear masks so willingly in light of the evidence. It's just not worth fighting irrational rules and laws when the punishment is exclusion from activities.
The left has truly figured out how to control the masses, and they have really been empowered by the fear of terrorists, covid, and public criticism. Jordan Peterson is one of the few people I know of that has stood up to the political correct police.
You can screenshot it with all phones. Anyway, I bet you are just printing the boarding pass, not all the booking and receipt information as well, that my in-laws print.
The worst is when you’re standing in line at the gate with your scan code at the ready on your phone and the very second you go to scan it, the screen saver kicks in and you have to fumble around to unlock it.
