The victim was identified as 67-year-old Jeanine Bishop from Sebastian, Florida. According to Acosta, Bishop's fiancee Michael Despres, 56, was at the Walmart when detectives questioned him.
Several studies show that many women are murdered by intimate partners including boyfriends, fiancees and husbands. According to the Violence Policy Center, about two in five female victims are murdered by an intimate partner. Intimate partner homicide is defined by the National Institute of Justice as "the killing of a spouse, ex-spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend."
A study published in the NIJ Journal said, "the risk of intimate partner homicide is highest when a victim of domestic abuse tries to leave the relationship." It is still unclear what led to the homicide.

Wal Mart has significantly tightened up their return policies.
LOL!................
Yes, used bodies gotta be in original condition...............
Likely hid her in a “curbside pickup” spot. Nobody ever checks there.
Ha! No thanks.
Anyway, that reminds me of a Norm MacDonald bit on Weekend Update.
We had a guy driving cross country with his dead wife in the car. He got reported at a fast food drive through. She was upside down in the front seat feet up and head down.
A Walmart parking lot?
I guess he had too much respect for the Waffle House to drive her there.
Too crowded................
A few more details:
Really? What a surprise.
“Where does one get a ‘cooler full of human noses’?.................”
The Rhinoplasty Supply House? (Schenectady New York) Or, the Mr. Potato Head emporium of noses and ears? (Los Kil’ya Mexico)
there was a guy in ocean city maryland that looked like that...
botched suicide attempt...
put a gun to the roof of his mouth and flinched when he pulled the trigger...

Conspicuous by its absence from the list are lesbians who murder their partners. Several other studies show that as a group, those in homosexual lifestyles are far more likely to abuse and be abused by their partners.
What the heck? He drove the body to Wal-Mart????
I wonder if there are some missing steps in whatever his plan was.
= = =
Wal-Mart has back corners of the lot where I see the residue from oil changes and other vehicle maintenance procedures. Empty packaging of all sorts, etc. So - that is where you go to drop off a body, right?
How about 67 and 25?
All it takes is $$ to attract the children. If it's worked right, everybody wins, for a while. Eventually, the children will wander away and the cycle will have to be started again. The secret is to kick them over the fence BEFORE murder enters their likely options.
OK- thread winner!

just a feminist screed disguised as a news article...
Walmart parking lot is already a Haz-Mat zone. I counted 47 trashed covid masks scattered about walking back to my car one day.
While what it said is true, it was highly misleading.
“including boyfriends, fiancees and husbands”
Husbands rarely kill their wives. The vast majority of the demographic that kills “intimate partners” are boyfriends. It’s anyone’s guess what “fiancees” means in this context.
I have to thank a previous research methods instructor for pointing out the constant propaganda that these “stats” represent.
