3 victims randomly assaulted in 4 hour span on street in Brooklyn

Police are searching for a group of three young men involved in at least three random assaults over a roughly four-hour span in Brooklyn Tuesday, and they're hoping surveillance photos will lead to arrests.

The first incident in the crime spree happened just before 4:30 p.m. in front of 2428 East 27th Street in Sheepshead Bay, where an 81-year-old man was walking when an unknown individual approached and asked, "Where is the B44 bus?"

As the victim began to give directions, the individual punched him in the face before fleeing southbound, on foot, along East 27th Street towards Avenue Y.

Here’s a novel idea. Police could respond to the first attack and hunt down the thugs before they hurt other people.

I don’t know New York City demographics but I assume the perps were black and the victims were not. If the perps were black, I wouldn’t expect the victims to be black because the victims may have known the perps and their “youth” would have exacted retribution and because the perps would have mothers and grandmothers and grandfathers in their lives and would gladly kill whoever attacked their loved ones.

The real damage of the Balkanization of America based on race is that people no longer identify with those not of their specific group or race. I ran across an apropos quote yesterday from Claude Levi-Strauss: “Humankind ceases at the border of the tribe.”

I am not surprised at who they are....the more we get lectured NOT to be prejudiced the more we see that our assumptions are correct...

what I can't get over is how they are such little cowards that they hunt and attack the most defenseless people.....the elderly, the frail, the petite, the disabled, etc....

how I would just once or twice like to see a surprise ending...
