Swilley said a man drove the vehicle from Byram to Copiah County, about 30 miles, but realized that there was a body inside the vehicle’s trunk, WLBT reported.
Coroner Ellis Stuart said two men found the car in Byram with a “free car” sign on it and the key inside. They drove the car to Copiah County and looked inside the trunk after arriving at a family member’s home.
He said Mccrillis’ body had no signs of obvious trauma and that the next step in the investigation is to get the victim’s car and process it for evidence.

Gee I hate when they happens.
Brian Laundrie?
punked?
“Free Birdseed”
Haha.
Coen Brothers . . .
The person responsible for putting that body in the trunk probably never thought his problems could be eliminated so easily. “Just tape a Free Car! sign to the trunk, leave in a deserted area with keys in ignition and gas in the car.
The System Worked!!”
We parked my Wife’s 30 year old Schwinn Continental at the local Co-Op unlocked with a “free” note taped to it some years ago.
Inside the frame were the decaying remains of several moths...
True story.
In Before the “Free Cat” pic.
So officer... The car had a sign on it that said “FREE CAR” I promise!
30+ years ago in Denver (of course) I put out an old camper shell with a FREE sign. Damn thing sit out in front of house for about 2 weeks. Being kind of a wise-a** in those days, I put a big FOR SALE sign on it. Next morning, it was gone. Not related to this story, but after 30 years, I still find it amusing.
Was it the body of Andy Kaufman?
He would do something like that as a final joke.
I might’ve overlooked it, but what make and model was it? I’m curious as to know what vehicle has such ample trunk space.
On many TV crime shows police investigation will conclude “There are latent fingerprints and other physical evidence in the car that show the two men who found the car are guilty of murder. They will be arraigned.” Matlock charged too much but maybe they could ask Adam Schiff to take the case pro bono.
A Fiat 500 but the murderer may have been a magician. He sawed the dead body in half to fit it inside.
What’s the law in that state? Do the finders get to keep any loose change in the corpse’s pockets?
Is that the bidenmobile?
That wouldn't apply in this case...the corpse was naked.
