A body has been recovered in the Wyoming forest where authorities have been searching for days for missing Long Island native Gabby Petito, according to a report Sunday.
Police have not confirmed if the body is that of the 22-year-old or if it is somehow tied to the case, but said authorities are working to confirm the identity, Fox news reported.

If it’s a body from a prior missing persons case, the
relatives may already have faced the worst part of the
grief.
If this is the current missing girl, it’s going to be
very tough on this fresh loss.
No, I’m not...
Who knows.
People who get disoriented on hikes can get permanently lost or if suicidal jump.
I need a lot more after seeing the body cam.
Why he left the area and clammed up. Uh, not so good.
John Walsh may have nailed it last night on Fox.
May have left his house because the family couldn’t sleep peacefully their without wondering what he might do next.
What I would do is allow him to stay at my house, until the authorities come and charge him, if they are going to charge him. Then, I would pay for a defense lawyer to advocate for him.
He would have to face up to his situation like a man. That’s probably what went wrong here, he wasn’t raised to do that.
I am see getting a lawyer and trying to “turn around” a family member for non violent crimes. But shielding a murderer is evil.
Maybe they haven’t known that he is a murderer. He may not have told them anything about what happened.
I would certainly try to convince him to talk to the police. But maybe they were trying, and that’s why he ran off.
Actually, hypotheticals are quite useful in getting to the truth of a person’s values.
I understand why you are hesitant to elaborate on your statement. Anything other than a ridiculous Hollywood scenario would reveal your placing a higher value on familial loyalty than on human life.
I wish you had the courage to come out and say so.
Yes, you are. This is clear cut, black and white. There are no gray areas.

Laundrie is the guy.
First of all the kid is in a world of Schiff for abandoning the woman in the middle of nowhere.
Even if she was shooting at him, he should have stayed in the area and dealt with local police about it, not come running home to me!
Nice collection of info. Thanks for your diligence.

Good answer.
Some had speculated that maybe he traveled with her body cross country and dumped her along the way..I never bought that idea, yeah he could clean the van up real good but you cant get rid of that smell of decomp. I remember with Caylee Anthony she was in the trunk of that car, sure Casey cleaned it up, but the smell you cant get rid of it no matter how much bleach you use..now as far as Brian goes, he will turn up dead..he knows now that they found Gabby only a matter of time before he offs himself, he either kills himself or he is in Mexico(The same way that Scott Peterson tried to bail)
Why would he have needed to be picked up when he had her van
“When Matthew Shepard was arrested and tried for the murder of James Byrd, his father made it point to say he didn’t raise his son that way. He apologized to Byrd’s family and sat with them in court. When Matthew was convicted, Byrd’s family wept with Mathew’s father.
Mr. Shepard turned what could have been an ugly racial incident into a time of community healing and support. They don’t have denounce their son, but they don’t need to aide him either.”
Damn, what a story. That’s the Texas that I remember - not this BLM crap. Shared values on both sides of the tracks and a shared disdain for those who violate those values.
OK.
well watching an old Gumsoke rerun grandma shot and killed her grandson who had killed and robbed a neighbor and didn’t want to give himself up to the marshall..
You did not ask me but I will tell you. I love my son more than my next breath but IF he was guilty beyond ALL DOUBT in murdering a young girl, I would not cover for him.
