EXCLUSIVE: UNC course says WWII was 'Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism'
Campus Reform ^ | August 31, 2021 | Angela Morabito

The University of North Carolina is offering a class called "Global Whiteness," which involves student presentations on Trump and interracial hookups on campus.

Campus Reform obtained the fall 2021 syllabus, covers the concept of race since the 19th century, but also contains what appears to be revisionist narratives of American history, specifically World War II.

Specifically, the syllabus appears to place blame for the Pacific Theater on America and the West. The course overview describes World War II in the Pacific as "the first global attack on white Anglo-American hegemony" and "Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism."

Hideiki Tojo said the same thing.

...set Japan up to do so by cutting off their oil supplies...

Its all in the sequence of events. We embargoed their oil supplies AFTER the Japanese had been in China for almost two years. The rape, murder, pillaging, and destruction was epic. Diplomacy didn't work at all.

Japanese/German cooperation was largely a myth. Yes they traded some info and weaponry and some intelligence but each pursued its own goals with almost zero regard for the other. Typical of any criminal cabal.

Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor should be considered a suicide attempt. A successful one.

China and Japan have been going after each other over their respective imperialistic designs for a thousand years or more. Neither were thoughtful or kindly to those they enslaved.

Japan seems to have moved on from imperialism. China most certainly hasn’t.

Pretty sure they are both deeply racist towards nonmembers of their self-perceived ingroups.

Why is it so difficult to convince Americans of the diabolical plans to destroy us?

That is the 100 million dollar question.

Back in the early 1980s I read material from the CFR and the Bilderburger Group, and thought it to be a big conspiracy theory. By the end of the 1980s I was sure it was indeed a conspiracy, but not a hoax. Events show clearly that human kind is being pushed into Global Governance. The papers indicated that the Chinese model of government would be the pattern for the world simply because it seemed to work the best for controlling large numbers of people.

We are not headed for a picnic.

Ask the Okinawans.

Or Koreans.

Too bad they lost. They weren’t the kind of people to take shit from anyone, including a bunch of towel-heads from halfway around the world.

Too bad they lost.

You do realize that the west coast of the US would belong to Japan and there would be billions dead if they had won.

Please look up Unit 731 for an idea of how they would have died.

Even the Nazis were horrified by the excesses of the Imperial Japanese.

I’m horrified by the Leftists in America, who will EASILY give Imperial Japan a run for the money, should they (the Leftists) gain power here. They simply WANT US DEAD. Even Imperial Japan wasn’t that bad.

Ah, so that’s why Japan invaded Korea and China.

Even Imperial Japan wasn't that bad. Yes they were.

And we have a chance to fight them now.

If Imperial Japan had won we would have no chance. Because we would be 70 years dead.

Sorry, but you don’t seem to know the Left as well as I do. I was one of them...got to see what they thought of their ‘enemies’ close up. Imperial Japan was horrible too, still they weren’t into the level of genocide that say Pol Pot was. The people, in this country, that we face are at least as bad as Pol Pot. Go to their chat rooms and see what they think of Trump voters, and you’ll get the idea.

Yes. They were. You really need to study up on what they were up to from 1879-1945.

They were very casually wiping out entire populations. You can find these in the Japanese records.

Are the leftist as bad? Yes. But they are not yet in power here. And can be stopped.

Your desire for Imperial Japan to have won would mean that they would not have been stopped.

And totalitarian regimes are all cut from the same bolt of cloth.

I visited the Air Force museum at Wright Pat, and what I remember the most was a POW display comparing how our boys (pilots) were treated by the Japanese versus the Germans. The Germans not only took good care of our boys, they even gave them dental care, until near the end of the war. The Japanese were horrific - its been decades, but I can barely control tears when I think about that display. Something like 98% of our POWs from Europe made it home...less than 50% made it back from Asia. And I won’t even get into the cannibalism there.

So I agree with you...but I also think that many here are either unable to or refuse to accept just how bad our Leftists are...so I stuck with my ‘Imperial Japan is better than the Leftists’ theme.

It’s killing our side - the INABILITY to understand what we’re fighting. We have people ON THIS SITE that think it’s better to elect Democrats than less-than-perfect Republicans. All the Democrats need is that clean majority, and people won’t know what hit them.

I’ve said this before - Conservatives are focused on purity first then power. The Left is focused on getting power first, power second, power third in short POWER !!. Guess whose more successful at getting and retaining power?

“Guess whose more successful at getting and retaining power?”

And it pisses me off too: What’s better:

(1) 40 Conservatives plus 20 RINOs that vote 70% conservative

(2) 40 Conservatives plus 60 Democrats that vote 0% conservative

A LOT of people here pick #2, and most of them, I’m convinced are NOT trolls. They simply refuse to try to understand just who Democrats are.

Don't waste your time looking for any book like that. That's a blood libel created by the American left that's been floating around for the past 80 years or so. That claim never made much sense anyway, they would have to burn through oil in order to prosecute a war in the first place. The Euro powers had no resources to defend and secure their holdings in Asia, the worldwide depression in the aftermath of the first world war had seen to that. What was left that could be deemed a credible threat to the Japs making the Pacific into their own personal lake was the Americans. They were going to attack no matter what to reduce that perceived threat. As for oil there were plans from the start to cover that, in seizing all the Euro holdings, particularly the Dutch West Indies.

What is always missed is that America and Japan had very warm relations up until the first world war ended. It went to turning sour after we would not back their claims in front of the League of Nations against territories they sought to seize in the Pacific from Euro powers. Add to that we also put specific restrictions against Japanese coming to America which really riled up not just the government but also the populace into viewing us as a bunch of nasty bigots. We got put on a s--- list after that. In their view true friends didn't do stuff like that. All of which was playing into the hands of skulkers in the Jap military who were planning a coup in the early 1920's, dashed by the impact of a hurricane disaster in 1923, if I recall correctly. That Driscoll mook at UNC took a little bit of truth and used it to build a crass misrepresentation - the Japs wanted the Euro whiteys out alright, but not for the reasons he claims. They were competitors and potential adversaries to the plans they had long worked out and were to be kicked out or killed off to clear the way for their own sphere of hegemony to establish without interference from outside parties. Leave it to academia losers to distort history into an agenda.

Well there were massive government-inspired demonstrations in Tokyo when Teddy Roosevelt brokered the Treaty of Portsmouth that ended the Russo-Japanese War. The way the Japanese government saw it, they were entitled to seize Russia’s maritime provinces after sinking 2 Russian Fleets. The cease-fire & subsequent treaty prevented the Japanese from doing just that, greatly simplified Japan’s strategic calculations in the subsequent world wars.
