Gerald E. Harmon, M.D.
President, American Medical Association
AMA Plaza
330 N. Wabash Ave., Suite 39300
Chicago, IL 60611-5885
Dear Dr. Harmon:
The AMA has taken the startling and unprecedented position that American physicians should immediately stop prescribing, and pharmacists should stop honoring their prescriptions for ivermectin for COVID-19 patients. The AMA is thus contradicting the professional judgment of a very large number of physicians, who are writing about 88,000 prescriptions per week. It also contradicts the Chairman of the Tokyo Medical Association, Haruo Ozaki, who recommended that all doctors in Japan immediately begin using Ivermectin to treat COVID.
AMA claims that ivermectin is dangerous and ineffective despite the safe prescription of billions of doses since 1981, and the mostly favorable results of 63 controlled studies in COVID-19.
AMA does not specify any recommended early treatments, but simply urges face masks, distancing, and vaccination.
Our members would appreciate clarification of the AMA’s stand on the following questions:
- What are the criteria for advocating that pharmacists override the judgment of fully qualified physicians who are responsible for individual patients?
- What are the criteria for forbidding off-label use of long-approved drugs, which constitute at least 20 percent of all prescriptions?
- On what basis does AMA demand use only within a clinical trial for ivermectin, but call for virtually universal vaccination outside of controlled trials, despite FDA warnings of potential cardiac damage in healthy young patients, and no information about long-term effects?
We believe that these questions get to the heart of issues of physician and patient autonomy, as well as scientific principles such as the need for a control group in experiments.
We look forward to your response.
Sincerely yours,
Jane M. Orient, M.D., Executive Director

There is no such thing as social distancing in Uttar Pradesh. It’s simply not possible.

I meant for that to say “afraid”.

If they kept records on Iver I bet it would have breakthrough cases or deaths as well, if it indeed works. Who knows
If you had been paying attention on FreeRepublic, YOU would know.
Do some research, on your own, on how successful the country of India has been using Ivermectin.
It will remove all doubt for you concerning Ivermectin.
I don’t think it will remove all doubt, he doesn’t want to believe it.

We have vaccinologists and immunologists and eminent physicians with backgrounds of years of deep study and practice calling out for caution in using the covid vaccines, and then we have bureaucratic hacks like Fauci, who is also a proven liar, making the decisions that benefit pharmaceutical companies. Unfortunately, so far, Fauci is running the show.

So they are doing it out of altruism. They actually care about the lives of the unvaxed.
On top of that, those crazy Invermectin embracing Japanese are such crazy non-conformist conspiracy theorists always prepping with their huge gun arsenals and their caches of snake oil, colloidal silver and mood crystals.
(I have news for you. Liberals hate our guts. They want us dead. For them, this is about control and money. The Japanese, since William Edwards Deming, the engineer and statistician, have been the most scientific culture globally. They don’t pull stuff out of their proverbial asses. They say “Invermectin, Invermectin, Invermectin*” and found metallic contamination in the Vaxes.)
ADE is real. Look at Israel. When that sinks in, look at the 14 countries in Africa who provide Invermectin for “eye worm” prophylaxis and compare them to their neighbors who do not. Specifically look at Covid death rates. Orders of magnitude difference.
People will die from Covid, just as people will die from the flu and colds. Some people will die from a hang nail that results in sepsis. Some people are so close to death a stiff breeze will be their end.
* A quote from their head of their equivalent to the FDA.

This whole thread talks about Ivermectin and if it works against Covid. Nowhere is there mention of zinc. Maybe I am wrong, but I am thinking that the purpose of the Ivermectin is to act as a powerful Ionophore to zinc (zinc is the bullet and Ivermectin is the gun or delivery system). am I wrong? I am asking you two because you both seem to have a good understanding about all of this and I trust you.
If it is true that there MUST be zinc along with the Ivermectin, then we need to say that, emphasize that in threads like this, so people don’t think Ivermectin is all they need.
And if I am wrong then I need to know that too. I have enough Ivermectin for my whole family and I need to be sure I know exactly how to use it.

AMA hasn’t been medical for years — maybe decades. It’s purely a left-wing political organization.

They say “Invermectin, Invermectin, Invermectin...” Specifically referring to this claim regarding Japan, that is FAKE NEWS.
The head of the Tokyo Medical Association recommended the use of ivermectin . He does not speak for Japan as a whole. At all.

” AMA hasn’t been medical for years — maybe decades. It’s purely a left-wing political organization.” With all due respect, I know that. And it has nothing to do with the question I asked.

I think doctors should fight the AMA on this. Look what the AMA is recommending....Masks.. I think by now, with all the studies available that masks are kind of a joke. Distancing..well that goes against living as an American pretty much. Creates about as many problems as it would solve I’d think. Vaccination...LOTS of controversy on this one. Is this the best the AMA can do?

Thank you for posting.
AMA only represents a small part of Medical Doctors.
AAPS is a very credible group of doctors.

While I do not know the exact cocktails, I believe zinc is a cornerstone of both hcq and ivermectin. And it does work in tandem, so when they do studies using only hcq or iver those studies are designed to fail. It is the drugs in tandem that are working.
I read a good run down of what each in the cocktail do a long time ago but I cannot seem to find it again. I think one helps block the virus from attaching and maybe messes with replication, another helps with inflamation, ect. So I know you are correct in saying it must be a cocktail not a single drug treatment. I wish more would note that also.
Perhaps Jane Long has the info I am refering to.
