I kept my answer to all, "no's, regardless of what the questions were. She then wanted to give me Pfeizer, which I told her that was not going to happen. I choser Moderna, as I've read it is the least problematic.
Once I got the vaccine, I got and left immediately, despite being advised to sit for 15 minutes.
What He Said.
I actually agree, our physical being here will end. You are correct.
I work in health care, and I probably wash my hands 10-20 times a day. I have always avoided touching my face, mouth, nose, and eyes with my hands anyway. I am not a germ freak, but...working in a hospital environment requires you be conscious of these things, so after 35 years or so of it, it is ingrained habit.
Funny. If I am outside somewhere or in my home and drop an item of food on the ground, depending on the circumstance, I might well pick it up and finish eating it. That old "three second rule" kind of thing.
When I am at work, and something hits the ground...that is the end of it. It is dead to me. Hell, if it gets within a foot of the ground, I'll be hesitant to even touch it.
Point is, once we had the measure of this, I wasn't concerned about it beyond "If I get it, I'll deal with it as it comes..."
My wife is not of the same mindset. She wears her mask everywhere, but I did break her of wearing it outside, though if we go somewhere stupid that has "Mandatory Mask Zone" in some town, she will wear it. We went to Provincetown, MA some time back, and this is what the main street looked like:
I was the only one in the entire town I saw while I was there who wasn't wearing a mask. My wife was, and she was very uncomfortable with my stance because she is a rule follower on things like this, but I was adamant. I am not wearing a mask outside, period. They can arrest me if they want. (I did have someone remind me that I probably didn't want to spend time in a jail cell in that town, given its infamous overt homosexual proclivities!)
I was especially adamant given the signs every 30 feet which pissed me off. I feel bad for my wife, but...I am not doing this crap. If we see a store and they require a mask, I simply don't go in. She can go, but I won't.
Like in the movie Sky High, some people are destined to be superheroes, and some people are just sidekicks.

Mine requires I have someone else with me to drive me home.
You are most welcome, FRiend.
I feel it in my heart. It feels like it has to be true.
If you get arrested, you may just get offered a free brain transplant as well. God knows that they are not fixing a lot brains down there in recent times.,
Time to get this party rolling.
I like the way you think. I have been dealing with autoimmune disease for twenty-seven years.I had the Moderna shots, the second one in April.
In May, I got the call I had been waiting for for four years and had transplant surgery. On the mend, getting my strength back, looking forward to the future, and those bastards in Washington are bound and determined to make our lives hell. How dare they! I have not been close to death, but being on the waiting list for a donor organ, you don’t know if it’s ever gonna happen. God answered my prayers, and I have a responsibility not only to Him, but to my donor to take care of the precious gift I’ve been given, and to my family as well. Next year I will be escorting my daughter down the aisle, being the father of the bride, and NOTHING is gonna keep me from that! Forward Ho!👍
I got the double Pfizer dose. Both gave me a fever and flu like symptoms. I work in healthcare and have no choice. From what I’ve seen, it does reduce symptoms for those who get Covid. All the Covid deaths I’ve seen in the last month, none were vaxxed.
I haven’t been very bothered by the rules about this. They don’t impact how I THINK, and I have no problem wearing a mask to allow other people to be comfortable. But, my husband is like you - he really resents being forced to wear it.
But have you noticed the people driving their cars, alone, wearing the mask IN THE CAR? That drives us crazy - especially when they’re so good about their masks but so bad about their driving :-)
But it is like this mask wearing crap.
There was a California town that was thinking of reopening beaches that had been closed due to Covid, and they made rules like "you can walk around without a mask, but if you sit down and stay in one place, you have to wear a mask"!
Okay.
Then restaurants said that you have to wear a mask while you walk around going to your table or the bathroom, but...if you sit down, you can take your mask off! Even while there are people standing in line three feet away from you who have to wear their masks!
It is all BS. All of that. The virus is real and it is deadly to certain people, but...the response to it has been a giant goat rodeo of a hoax.
I thought this video was hilarious:
Haven't come across that yet. Years ago when I had to have a gastroscopy or colonoscopy, I'd drive my car, and have my youngest son drive his car in, so he could come up while I was being admitted, then he'd leave and go back home until they called him to tell him I was ready to leave. He'd come back in, let them know he was there, we'd leave together. I'd get in my car and go get something to eat because I was starving, and he'd go back home. Now he lives in Indiana, so I can't do that anymore. I now have to have my oldest son accompany me, which means him having to come in the night before (he lives almost two hours away), stay overnight here, which means he has to take the day off from work, drive me to the center, then take me back home, so he can get back home to feed his cat, and give her medication, and return to work the next day. My doctor would at least do both procedures at the same time as long as I was due for them. My last procedures were the end of June, and it was the last time I'll have to have a colonoscopy. He said we could do the Cologuard tests as long as no problems appear.
My congratulations to you and your wife! I received a new liver in May, and I’m probably on some of the same meds, and I too have been wondering about that “ booster “ shot. I am meeting with my hepatologist Friday, and that will be the first question I will be asking.
I wish both of you continued good health!
I had the Moderna, too.
True, I do completely resent being pressured to wear it. If there were no pressure, I wouldn’t care.
The people in their cars are one thing...I can only shake my head at them.
I tell the story of, last year early on, I was walking on a rail trail. Not wearing a mask, but people were. I saw this woman on her bike coming towards me, and when she saw I wasn’t wearing a mask, she began to fumble around putting hers on, and her bike began gyrating side to side...
I thought: here we are, in a 15 mph wind, outdoors, passing each other at a relative speed of about 8 mph...and she is going to risk breaking her neck over a virus that has no chance in that wind and passing speed to find its way to her.
I guess if it did, we would have to rename it “The Houdini Virus”.
Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!
Feb. Alive and kicking.
20 or so years ago I was sick as a dog with strep got a somethingcillan shot. The doc’s office made me wait 15 min. before I left. I fell asleep in the waiting room.
“I hear tell the Moderna vax causes “male enhancement” over the long term.”
I’ll become a bigger slob than normal?
May God be with you. Grateful you will be able to walk your daughter down the isle and hopefully see your grandchildren. Prayers are up for you and family🙏
Congrats!
