Once I got the vaccine, I got and left immediately, despite being advised to sit for 15 minutes.

And if you think the people there were the least bit concerned about your leaving before the 15 minutes is up…they don’t care. They’ve seen it all. Giving out the vaccine is a boring job for these folks. You are literally just another arm.

The day after my second one, I was real tired. Next day I was fine.
I got Pfizer in March and felt poorly (headache, aches and fatigue)the next day. Just half a day of a headache the day after my second shot. I had covid in December and it was three days of headaches/body aches/joint pain— H1N1 was worse for me.

That's likely true, but I don't feel confident driving when I can't see 100%. I live alone, so it's not like I have anyone to take me. And a taxi would cost me $25 one way. Forget that.

I’ve never had any reaction to any vaccine, before the Moderna.
But I’m a lot older now; and this was a very new technology.

Makes me a bit crazy that they are treating it as if it is.
I swear. It is the fear I see in people that really bothers me. The sheep-like fear. It is controlling the lives of people.
I rebel against that. It isn’t that I minimize the danger. There is a saying I love, and it is relevant here:
“A ship in a harbor is a safe ship. But that isn’t what ships are made for.”
I feel like I want to say to people: “You may think a human with a mask avoiding others is a safe human, but that is not what humans are made for.”
We are made to interact with each other, to see each other’s faces, to shake each other’s hands, to hug each other. There is something obscene to me about covering one of the most beautiful things in the world with a mask...a genuine and warm human smile. We are MADE to see that. It isn’t insignificant. It means something special. So we should do and see these things.
Not to cower in fear.
If I get the virus, I get the virus. If it kills me, it kills me. I have had a wonderful life on this earth, but I’ll be damned if I live my remaining days acting like a scared sheep cowering in a dark place. I feel in my heart that there are indeed things worse than death, and squandering this beautiful life that God has given me by quaking in fear in a dark, lonely house, well...that isn’t the way I want to go out.

Yes personal choice should be standard protocol.
My wife had a heart transplant in 2019, and has no immunity to viruses. Lucky she has a new great heart. She fought Covid for two months and was fine.
The moderna shots was hard for her for a few weeks. She is not looking forward to the third shot around thanksgiving.
I was very hesitant for more data before I made the decision for my 1st stab. My personal friend and our family physician asked me to to get the moderna. He is very worried adout the lamda strain. If he is ok with the ingredients (very conservative man) I said ok.
But guess what? We are all still going to die.
None of us are going to ‘die’.
We just walk through a door into another way of Life.
(That’s not an excuse for failing to pay attention and do our duties here - but I’m pretty sure it’s a fact.)
