Yes personal choice should be standard protocol.
My wife had a heart transplant in 2019, and has no immunity to viruses. Lucky she has a new great heart. She fought Covid for two months and was fine.
The moderna shots was hard for her for a few weeks. She is not looking forward to the third shot around thanksgiving.
I was very hesitant for more data before I made the decision for my 1st stab. My personal friend and our family physician asked me to to get the moderna. He is very worried adout the lamda strain. If he is ok with the ingredients (very conservative man) I said ok.

My congratulations to you and your wife! I received a new liver in May, and Iā€™m probably on some of the same meds, and I too have been wondering about that ā€œ booster ā€œ shot. I am meeting with my hepatologist Friday, and that will be the first question I will be asking.
I wish both of you continued good health!
I had the Moderna, too.
