The death of a former child star whose body was found near his university campus has been ruled a suicide, according to local reports.
Matthew Mindler, 19, disappeared on Tuesday near the Millersville University campus, according to Lancaster Online. Search teams located his body in a wooded area on Saturday morning.
Mindler co-starred in the 2011 film ‘Our Idiot Brother’ alongside Paul Rudd, according to his acting profile on IMDB. Other acting credits included a role in the soap opera ‘As The World Turns’ and a 2016 TV movie titled ‘Chad: An American Boy.’
Mindler was reported missing to campus police on Tuesday when he didn’t come back to his room or return his family’s phone calls, according to an earlier statement from Millersville University. The school released a photo showing Mindler in the hallway shortly before his disappearance.

“Commits Suicide” would use fewer letters.
Who?
Why any parent allows their child to go to Hollywood is beyond me.
I wonder if he got in with the same type of Hollywood people as Corey Feldman and Corey Haim did.
It should say child actor, not star.
I’ve never heard of him, and I watch a lot of movies.
Oops, words, that is.
The word “Star” has as part of its meaning some level of fame. People few have heard of are not “Stars”.
That said it’ll turn out being the usual situation. Some actor runs into trouble, foolishly sees a therapist, gets on drugs and then offs himself.
I’ve never heard of him either.
Very young, very sad.
Nineteen years old.
I have grey hairs older’n that.
Damn shame.
I couldn’t even find a Wikipedia article for him.
I had never heard of him either and looked him up on IMDb.
It looks like he had minor rolls in a couple of movies as a child. Still sad, but not any more newsworthy than any other college student who commits suicide.
Yeah.....”child star” and “porn star” are way over-used.
True, but more letters. The same if the space is counted as a letter. But you have a point. He probably committed suicide, while Epstein died by “suicide”.
He was an actor, not a star
Sadly yes in both cases.
Don’t know him, I detest Hollywood, but I’m going to throw it into auto-mourn anyway.
Thing about suicides is they nearly always leave someone else to deal with finding the body and cleaning up the mess. A friend of my mom’s found her ‘boyfriend’s’ body in her car in the garage. CO poising is relatively un messy, but imagine finding someone you love, dead by suicide in you car.
Another friend’s ex murdered his new wife and shot himself—all on his oldest daughter’s birthday. I don’t know that she’ll ever get over it.
Spielberg and others raped and sodomized that blonde girl from those Poltergeist movies
