Novavax: A COVID vaccine for the hesitant
Frontiersman ^ | 08/15/2021 | Dr. Samuel Abbate

Posted on 08/22/2021 6:35:11 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Many people have been hesitant to get any of the currently available “vaccines” for COVID-19. Why? Because they are uncomfortable taking an injection of viral genetic material known as messenger RNA (mRNA) into the cells throughout their bodies. Messenger RNA is the genetic code that the body uses to produce a protein that the virus. The particular protein that is made allows the virus to attach itself to the cells of your body. The current COVID-19 products represent the first time this technology has been used in humans. Little is known about the long-term effects of this technology.

I will not cite any negative data about the currently available mRNA products. I do not want to be accused of spreading misinformation. Instead I want to encourage those who have concerns about the currently available vaccines that there is a vaccine that is in development and will hopefully be available later this year. It is called Novavax.

Novavax is made up of an antigen (the spike protein from COVID-19) combined with an adjuvant. An antigen is a protein that the immune system does not recognize as belonging to your body and so it raises antibodies against it. An adjuvant is a substance the boosts the body’s response to the antigen. A two-dose regimen administered 21 days apart is safe and associated with a robust immune response.

The protein is made in the laboratory using the genetic material from the virus. This process is similar to how insulin is made commercially. The spike protein cannot replicate itself in your body. Novavax cannot cause infection. The amount of protein introduced is consistent from person to person.

Novavax is much more similar to traditional vaccines even though it uses new technology. Therefore, I believe that many of the vaccine hesitant will be willing to take it. You should feel comfortable taking it. Again, the choice should always be yours to make in consultation with your medical provider.

On June 30, 2021 the New England Journal of Medicine reported on a study of over 15,000 persons in England titled: Safety and Efficacy of NVX-CoV2373 Covid-19 Vaccine. Novavax was 89.7% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infections. It was 86.3% effective against the alpha variant and 96.4% effective against other variants of the virus. The results are better than the currently available vaccines produce.

Reported side effects included injection-site tenderness, fatigue, headache, and muscle pain. Adverse events were similar in the vaccine and placebo groups (0.5% in each), and no deaths were attributed to the receipt of the vaccine. Novovax has an excellent safety profile.

It is likely that we are heading for a time when vaccination will be required to fully engage in social activities, e.g. air travel. I will avoid any discussion of medical privacy, personal autonomy, natural immunity or government intrusion. Instead I support using a safe, effective, more traditionally-made vaccine that can be taken with confidence. I hope that the FDA will approve the use of Novavax – it can prevent COVID and cure hesitancy.

How does the Novavax vaccine work?

The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine contains a protein (made using moth cells) plus an adjuvant (made from tree bark). An adjuvant is an ingredient added to boost a person’s immune response, creating higher levels of antibodies.

The Novavax vaccine uses a telltale piece of the coronavirus: the notorious spike protein. All alone, the spike protein is harmless and can’t cause COVID-19. When your immune system encounters the lonely spike protein, it produces antibodies against it. This gives you protection against future COVID-19 infection.

“Unlike mRNA vaccines, the spike protein is already premade in the Novavax vaccine. It’s a shortcut,” explains Dr. Florescu. “All the synthesis happens outside the body and we just give the end product: the spike protein.”

Like other COVID-19 vaccines, Novavax does not cause COVID-19 infection. It can’t get you sick. This vaccine doesn’t contain either live or inactivated virus.

How did they get the spike protein?

The Novavax method uses moth cells to make spike proteins:

1. Researchers select the desired genes that create certain SARS-CoV-2 antigens (spike protein).

2. Researchers put the genes into a baculovirus, an insect virus.

3. The baculovirus infects moth cells and replicates inside them.

4. These moth cells create lots of spike proteins.

5. Researchers extract and purify the spike proteins.

“The Novavax vaccine has no genetic material, only proteins,” says Dr. Florescu. “The vaccine technology is more traditional, and it’s very similar to a protein-based influenza vaccine.”

And for those who want to know, Influenza vaccines have also used this moth cell factory method. So, if you’re concerned with that, then you would also object to the influence vaccines that have been administered for decades.

The question is whether this vaxxx causes the cells of your body to become manufacturers of the spike protein…as do the others, A process that continues for an unknown time. Maybe months. They are not being honest with us about that and are trying to censor and ruin doctors and scientists who are.

If it just introduces enough of the pathogen to incite antibody response and doesnt turn your cells into replicators of spike proteins then yes, it is more like a traditional vaxx.

What makes nothing “ traditional” is that “covid’ is a biological lab pathogen developed during a gain of function experiment, artificially manipulated in its form, and of which no lab except perhaps in Wuhan has a sample of actual virus. The best they have done is to model it ( based on what info China provided)

Thanks....I posted that on a previous Novavax thread (of yours, probably :).

NO to Moth DNA.

NO to spike proteins.

NO thanks!

You did not answer my question. Many of us already have had it and have natural immunity. How is this any better then that? There is no reason to force us to get immunized against something we are already immune to.

Why are they avoiding any discussion of natural immunity?

Probably because it would show that even novavax (along with the 3 other mRNA shots) wouldn’t be as good, and big pharma would lose money.

Kinda lyin’ there about the spike protein alone being ‘ harmless”
If billions of them lodge in your blood vessels and organs, and cross the blod-brain barriers, then no, they are not ‘ harmless”. They cause a war with your immune system and your blood vessels and organs are the battlefield, the BDA is called inflammation and it produces clotting that leads to strokes, heart attacks, tissue damage etc.
Plenty of evidence about this coming out.
The long term effects are unknown because there has been no ‘ long term’ trials on humans, just the one now underway.

Or, maybe not. Maybe just good old, natural immunity....

It Turns Out, We All May Have Some Immunity to COVID, New Study Shows

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic that’s still raging around the world, many are still holding onto one golden concept that could change everything: immunity. Whether that should come from a vaccine or having already been infected by the virus, the idea that the population may be able to achieve herd immunity—and effectively stop this deadly disease in its tracks—is a source of hope. And one new study shows that we may already be steps closer to COVID immunity that we thought.

A July 15 study published in Nature found that there are three separate groups that showed immunity to the coronavirus. The first consisted of COVID-19 patients who have T cells—a bunch of immune cells that can kill the virus and act as a line of defense against future pathogens. The next faction included people who had been infected with the SARS virus in 2003 and also had these same T cells.

But the final group was the most surprising to researchers: 37 study subjects had the T cells despite the fact that they were never exposed to or infected with either of the illnesses. This proves that we all may have some immunity to this strain of coronavirus built into our bodies.

“A level of pre-existing immunity against SARS-CoV2 appears to exist in the general population,” Antonio Bertoletti, MD, a virologist at Duke NUS Medical School in Singapore told The New York Times.

According to the study, this third type of immunity could have been triggered by the common cold, which is caused by a more minor type of coronavirus. T cells from this mild illness may not protect you from getting COVID-19, but they would lower the severity of your case. Because so many people have had the common cold—and would therefore have these T cells—this may explain why a majority of people who have contracted COVID are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.

This evidence is backed up by previous research that discovered COVID-19-reactive T cells in 40 to 60 percent of unexposed individuals. The June 25 study published in Cell concluded that these T cells identify similar danger between COVID-19 and “common cold” coronaviruses.

When it comes to curbing and containing COVID-19, Bertoletti said, “I believe that cellular and antibody immunity will be equally important.” And if you want to know which regions of the U.S. have low antibody levels, check out 95 Percent of People in These States Are Still “Very Vulnerable” to COVID.

No hijacking the body’s cells to make the spike. They put the spike into the vaxx, and give you a standard number of spikes in the vaxx. It causes immune response. That’s it.

Yep.

All honor to my doctor who actually told me not to go to the ER because they would not actually treat me and called in prescription for Budesonide and a double Z-pak.

Technically, so did the vast majority of people that caught Covid. But very few talk about that fact.

“Air travel is rapidly becoming practice for concentration camp processing.”

That’s exactly what it feels like…you’re under suspicion and surveillance and despised from the moment you enter the airport. I have a big pile of frequent flyer miles that I will probably never use now because concentration camp life doesn’t appeal to me, even for a few hours.
