I did this last October/November. It was tough for about 3 minutes, but I quickly got over it, and recovered about 3 hours of my daily life each day!

My brother takes great pride in being placed in Fakebook jail...
He even has a picture of himself outside of a jail cell with a drink in his hand for after he gets out...

Some are using MeWe, but I don’t think it has caught on. Someone will come up with something soon. GETTR is more like Twitter but actually getting to be a lot better.
I’m banned for 30 days for posting a painting of the crucifixion of Jesus. They said it was too violent.
At least, I think that’s why I got canned. They said I violated their standards and that picture is the only thing I see when I open the app, along with the warning it’s too violent.
MeWe has an almost identical format. But not as many of my friends spend time on MeWe. They have accounts, bilirubin not much activity.
There is a FreeRepublic group.
I stopped using it the day after the election.
It’s still active, just not used.
Not sure how to completely delete it.
Good for you. I keep it because it is the major way me and much of my spread out family remain in touch with each other.
The other nice thing it the FB marketplace is a great place to sell and buy things.
I post political stuff all the time, and don’t give a crap. I never buy anything from their ads, so no revenue from me.

I never joined, never went directly to Twitter, but through items that were posted here, I read some things, and am seriously sorry I even did that.
Does Twitter, or Facebook (another site to which I never went) charge monthly or yearly to use their service?
I never joined it. Being in touch with friends and family is great, but Facebook is a double-edged sword. I will NEVER have a Facebook account.
Having said THAT, I do admit to having a Twitter account I don’t post there
but I DO use it for information
FB banned me permanently a couple months ago for “suspicious activity,” whatever that is supposed to mean. I’m living just fine without Fakebook.

Man these posts suggesting a mass retreat and surrendering in the face of corporate fascism always amuse me...if you cant handle some grief on the internet...what will yall do in face of real incoming rounds?

Political memes are the modern day equivalent of Thomas Paines commen sense pamphlets...a picture with words...and they trigger the hell out of the left...
I take great delight that a multi billion dollar tech giant with an army of programmers cant keep me off their servers...cant silence me...cant keep me from figuring out new ways to fool their AI so the bots ignore what I post as background noise...
Facebook bots are only as smart as their programmers...they program bots to use the same tools that meme generators use...so the bot can unpack the text and compare it to a list of banned phrases or words...
But there are other ways to produce images that can be read by the human eye...that appear to a bot as random pixels and are ignored...if there is no text to unpack and analyze...the bot sees no text...
Yeah they eventually catch up...or a human catches one my posts...and I get banned..
So what?
I like the challenge...I like making my friends laugh and triggering liberals..
And I like the notion that a library billionaire has possibly seen my name in a memo...
They dont have to ban you if you run away.
