Hospitalized COVID-19 patients are far more likely to die or to end up in severe or critical condition if they are vitamin D-deficient, Israeli researchers have found.
In a study conducted in a Galilee hospital, 26 percent of vitamin D-deficient coronavirus patients died, while among other patients the figure was at 3%.
“This is a very, very significant discrepancy, which represents a big clue that starting the disease with very low vitamin D leads to increased mortality and more severity,” Dr. Amir Bashkin, endocrinologist and part of the research team, told The Times of Israel.

ransomnote: I do wish Fauci promoted vitamin D as hard as he pushes the 'vaccines.' He said in an interview in 2020 that he is careful to take Vitamin D. HULLOOO? Could our medical establlishments educate the public on simple steps like Vitamin D to protect themselves?
Also, the FDA is now pulling N.A.C. from store shelves (Amazon has already removed them but some in person and online stores are still available). They gave no reason why NAC is being removed after decades of safe use by those with asthma, lung diseases and other breathing difficulties.
I think N.A.C. is being removed because people take it for Covid, to reduce risk of getting it and to improve breathing if they do get Covid.
Others, like me for example, report excellent results taking N.A.C. if they've already had Covid or feel run down from the Plendemic. It'ts good for what ails you if you have the Covid blues (blahs)! I really got a boost from taking it, and so the FDA must remove it.
If you're interested in trying it or setting some aside, buy now. It's available in some locations in healthfood stores or places like Walmart. Online I've heard rumors it's in various stores (Vitacost?). Here's one link I'm aware of (no, I don't get kickbacks from anyone, let alone Swansons.com) so you can check out the name.

There are several extremely basic things the CDC could have suggested to help people’s immune systems. All of them simple and safe. Get outside for at least 20 minutes a day to get fresh air and sunshine. Exercise, even moderately for a half hour a day. Walk. Bike. If you’re overweight, adjust your diet to eat more healthy whole foods and less processed food. None of this is specific to preventing Covid, but it’s all to bring your level of health up and improves your life. Treat your body well.
The issue isn’t if you take it.
You must test to know your blood serum level of vitamin D.
That is one factor only.
That’s because they have to add every little thing to the itemized bill, like a glass of water.
That takes time.
I don’t believe that is the math.
1 in 4 COVID patients hospitalized while vitamin D deficient die... means that for a disease with a 99% recovery rate... wind up in the hospital with low Vitamin D... you have 25 times more likely to die.
Bingo....
....go to the veterinary’s office.
Just tell them you don’t have any insurance.
They’ll leave you alone then.
Yup, on a daily basis. I’ve been taking10,000 units of Vitamin D3, Vitamin K and Zinc since this new flu called Covid began.
Is Quercetin related to HCQ?
Yup, D3, K, and Zinc compose my over-the-counter cocktail.
Yup, for most of us a few hours of sunshine isn’t enough to absorb D3. IMOHO
Drink milk, go outside.
I tried to have my doctor write me a prescription for a convertible, but she wouldn’t.
I ended up buying one anyway.
What is NAC?
@ post 28 - Sources indicate it acts like HCQ in that it opens up cells to let zinc in. Zinc is very anti-viral. It’s the natural version of HCQ shall we say.
here’s the name

Some prophylactic and treatment for Covid protocols include NAC.
Thank you
I see someone else answered your Question if Quercetin is like HCQ. I’ll add that HCQ is preferred when both are available because it is a stronger form. Quercetin helps but is not as concentrated and you would have to take alot, and like have intestinal complaints trying to get an equivalent dose. But Quercetin is better than zero, and can help with prophylaxis as it is well tolerated.
ALWAYS supplement D-3 and K-2 in tandem.
easy to remedy:
10,000 units D3 from a good source like bluebonnet fish-liver-oil-derived D3:
https://www.amazon.com/Bluebonnet-Vitamin-5000-Softgel-Count/dp/B00FXMNWA0
hard to OD on D3 as long as Parathyroids are working because they control the conversion of D3 to the active form ...
it take 10,000 units a day, and my D3 was recently tested as being right in the middle of the “normal” range ...
“Which FreeRepublic doctors are testing”
does that include FR fake “doctors” too?
