Senate Democrats are raising new concerns about the thoroughness of the FBI’s background investigation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh after the FBI revealed that it had received thousands of tips and had provided “all relevant” ones to the White House counsel’s office.
The FBI, responding to longstanding questions from Democrats, disclosed in a letter late last month that it had received more than 4,500 tips as it investigated the nominee’s past following his 2018 nomination by President Donald Trump. The process was the first time that the FBI had set up a tip line for a nominee undergoing Senate confirmation, said an assistant FBI director, Jill Tyson, writing on behalf of Director Christopher Wray.
A group of Democratic senators said in a letter to Wray dated Wednesday that his response “raises significant additional questions.” They called on him to explain, among other things, how many tips the FBI decided were relevant and what criteria agents used to make that determination and what policies and procedures were used to vet the tips. The senators also asked for more information about the tip line, including how it was staffed and how the tips were recorded or preserved. …

Tip line. FBI was begging for anything anyone could say that could be used against Kavanaugh.
It’s too bad Kavanaugh decided to stab us all in the back and reveal himself as a left leaning disappointment. I no longer care how bad the left tortures him over nothing.
Every deranged cat lady in the country was claiming Kavanaugh raped her in eighth grade.
I find it amazing with all the crap that’s going on, from inflation to rising unemployment rates, that you want to rehash an appointment that you delayed far beyond what was warranted in the first place. Why not try to do something useful, like correcting all of Joe’s policy missteps, instead of wasting our money?
Thanks to the corruption at the top levels of the nation’s intelligence community and DoJ/FBI, the Democrats are addicted to having the Feds run the oppo research branch of their political party. When will it end? This is getting boring and predictable while letting real criminal activity of the DNC/Leftists go unpunished.
Would be great to watch the GOP distance themselves from Kavanaugh and let him swing in the wind.
4,498 of them came from FBI agents or informants looking to frame Kavanaugh for a crime. When they failed that they moved on to plotting to kidnap Whitmere and stage a riot at the Capitol.

So predictable. Trump appointed a textualist like Scalia and now “conservatives” turn on him when he interprets the constitution as it was written instead of stretching it beyond recognition as liberals have done forever to justify their extra-legal “make it up as we go” programs.
“The process was the first time that the FBI had set up a tip line for a nominee” -— I don’t like the direction Kavanaugh seems to be going in his rulings, but he was treated horribly by the Rats, including the RINO ones who set up the tip line.
The Dems are beating a dead horse. Ugh.
How’s that background check on Joe and his son coming along?
The Democrats know the best defense is a good offence.
They don’t even need to destroy Kavenaugh now - he’s on their side. It’s just because they lost that fight.
The Left is utterly relentless in their attacks. They will never stop until all the goals are accomplished. That means the end of FR and many of will be persecuted until we surrender or die.
sniff sniff
I smell impeachment in the air
This. Exactly. They know they don’t have the votes to Impeach and REMOVE Kavanaugh. But, they can pressure him and if the Republicans and the media are wasting time talking about Kavanaugh, that’s less time they have to worry about Dementia Joe and his Great Malaise Economy.
