I got an email today at work from my HR department saying that employees are "required" to take what they call "training on DEI&B". This evidently stands for "Diversity, Equity & Inclusion". I don't know what the "B" is for. Bull?
This has left me with a sick and uneasy feeling. I haven't taken this "training" yet so I don't know what it specifically entails. But I can make reasonable assumptions. I don't see a scenario where I take this thing and I don't come across statements or material that I find objectionable and false in its premises.
Retirement for me is still at least a decade away but it is on my horizon. I would prefer to simply opt out of this.
Can a company truly mandate this and make it a necessary requirement for employment? How is this not political indoctrination? What about MY rights and my freedom of conscience?
The email says I can contact HR with questions. But if I do this I would likely be making myself a target.
Sane people do need to make a stand against the madness of the Left. But is this a hill worth dying on?
I would like to hear your thoughts. Has anyone here had to deal with this at their job?
That quote is tremendously spot on.

I’m retired but I had to go thru Diversity Training - not negotiable. I think I had 15 years to go before retirement. Yes, it’s brainwashing, lots of people with their poor-me stories and “you are a POS because you don’t have the same skin, lack of skills, etc. Just tune out as much as possible, but it’s like things you had to go thru in the service. Just keep telling yourself “this will end in x days.” and it will.
That strategy worked for the SAT reading passages forty years ago. Progressive and consistent answers were at least 80% correct, without reading.
Now the DEI computer programs sometimes don’t let you stick with your wrong answer. You can’t advance to the next question until you give the right answer.
that Jews deserve reparations from Blacks.>>> You made me laugh.

Earth to ThunderSleeps: What department do you think keeps coming up with all this shit? It’s not called Inhuman Resources for nothing. And it’s filled with all the people you avoid, humorless and multiple points people.
If you have to ask, you have already died.

Yawn a lot and scratch yourself. Let others see you
There was an article around that was written about 18 months to 30 months ago. It was brilliant on how to thwart, sabotage and nullify this crap. I can’t find it! It was really good stuff. All I remember is it was written by a woman.
I should have saved it but I am out of the workforce now. I will keep trying to find it. Good luck!
I intend to turn them on each other, then stand back and watch the feeding frenzy. They want a pound of flesh, they can try running their $800 million contract and team of 100 without me and my 35+ years experience. I have standing job offers from three competitors. I have a two decade relationship with the customer. I walk, the work almost certainly goes with me. If not, fine. About time to try something new anyway.
I can’t find the point of origin of this corporate trend, which very widespread.
Best advise of the thread.
I would add that if they pressed me personally, I would say that MLK once said that he looked forward to the day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Keep repeating that as much as needed.
I am employed by one of the 30 companies making up the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
In the past few years, I have been required to participate (and pass) various different online trainings on "sexual harassment at the workplace," "personal data protection," "diversity / racial discrimination," etc.
These have been 30-minute videos which I have been required to view online, interspersed with short multiple-choice quizzes. They were fully automated (no opportunity to raise one's hand and pose pointed questions). I was able to carry them out at my desk in my office, all alone, without any actual human monitoring my participation.
The quizzes themselves were not "offensive" or "intrusive." They were mostly factual questions that I was able to answer honestly, using commonsense.
The only "offensive" aspect was that, in the videos, all of the "perpetrators" and "bad guys" were White males, while all of the "heroes" and "heroines" were dark-complexioned, had noticeable accents, and/or female.
I'm no lawyer, but I think that it would be difficult to make a case for "harassment" or "discrimination" merely because of the lopsided racial make-up of the actors used in the video clips.
Regards,
Ignore everything and lie if you are given any tests so you can show you are a good company sheep. Maybe they serve lunch at least.
But if you don’t care about the job raise a stink in the course rebutting everything the instructor says to humiliate them in front of everyone.
i’d actually sue their asses if they tried to make you say things like you are a racist, or anythi g to do with being a man, you’re automatically sexist, etc
seriously if they think that little of you, they deserfe to be sued, and include the legal costs for filing as part of the damages
This whole campaign is anti-white. To what end...who the hell knows. Since when does minority rule?
I sit in the back of the auditorium and do crossword or sudoku. Anything to not pay attention to what is being said.
Do the training but realize what kind of horrible company you work for. Then, start to Go Galt. Work less, make mistakes, provide only the bare minimum of work for that company. All the while, start looking for a new job.
Just my two cents.
