Regular coffee consumption of at least one cup daily was associated with a lower risk of COVID-19 infection, according to a study.
Researchers with Northwestern University published findings in the Nutrients journal, stemming from an analysis of nearly 40,000 participants in the U.K. Biobank. The team studied participants’ dietary habits from 2006 to 2010 and hypothesized the subsequent risk of coronavirus infection in 2020. Researchers specifically looked at participants’ consumption of coffee, tea, processed meat, red meat, fruit, vegetables and oily fish.
After adjusting for factors like race, age, sex and other factors like physical activity, BMI level and history of certain medical conditions, researchers found “habitual consumption of 1 or more cups of coffee per day was associated with about a 10% decrease in risk of COVID-19 compared to less than 1 cup/day.”

Cool. I’m safe. Thanks, Folgers!
Finally, some good news!
“Thanks, Folgers”
Article referred to coffee!
HOAX HOAX HOAX. But it certainly created a whole lot of new cool-aid sippers.
Can’t stop laughing.
No wonder I’m immune. I drink a LOT of coffee. I think I’ll add another cup to the morning ritual.
Yes, finally some good news!
Hardy-har. I ain’t the only one.
Best selling coffee in America...

I am such a “at least one cup a day” coffee drinker, and did not get hit with the Covid-bug, though being in the L.A. and then NYC areas when it started, and traveling multiple times coast to coast between Dec 2019 and early 2021.
But I suspect there is some other variable that regular coffee drinkers frequently (not always) have in common, and that variable was not considered in the study. I think they found a correlation but not sure they found a cause.
I tried to text a link to this to my brother but Biden blocked it.
I smoke cigarettes with my coffee. That might be it.
I kept finding coffee stains everywhere the other day. Couldn’t figure out where they were coming from. Turns out I cut myself and didn’t realize it.
“I smoke cigarettes with my coffee. That might be it.”
Maybe my longs have “residual protection” from smoking for many years though I also quit about 40 years ago. LOL
As usual the media-midget author or their boss who approved the title blew the article out of proportion. It’s good to read that substances like coffee that can mitigate inflammation can help with body’s COVID response. I liked how the authors of the study said it was not a panacea but further study into coffee’s affect is needed (yes, money pandering but maybe in a good way). What was more important to me is what other anti-inflammatory foods out there can help with COVID and similar infections.
Chicken Soup, anyone?
Until I caught the Wuflu I loved coffee so much I considered consuming it through a permanent PICC line.
After the China Virus, I can’t stand the taste of coffee.
I do a nice dark roast, two cups except on red-eye’s when it’s two more.
I smoke cigarettes with my coffee. That might be it.

Many mid Covid hoax studies ( mostly from the EU) drew the numbers of infected- they said nicotine was proven to reduce the risk and almost all hospitalizations were non smokers. Flip side, the few smokers that did catch it, developed pneumonia quicker. Most of those articles have been discounted today or scrubbed. A group of French scientists ran the “ numbers”, sounds good to me as I puff away on a really nice cigar.
Way OTT
How did this research sneak out? Dr. Fauci knows that there is no treatment for COVID except the vaccines. Not Hydroxychloroquine. Not ivermectin. And not coffee. In fact, even one drop will likely kill you and your entire family. Don’t risk it
