Johnson & Johnson says COVID-19 vaccine protects against the Delta variant

The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is highly effective against the highly transmissible delta variant, the company announced on Thursday (July 1).

Though the analysis was conducted on only a small number of participants and hasn't yet been peer-reviewed, it suggests that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, like the Pfizer and Moderna's vaccines, may provide a buffer for the U.S. against the highly transmissible variant. The findings were submitted as two separate studies to the preprint server bioRxiv.

The delta variant (B.1.617.2) was first discovered in India in October 2020, and the World Health Organization designated it a "variant of concern" in May 2021, Live Science previously reported. The variant has spread to at least 92 countries and prompted new COVID-19 restrictions in some places. In the U.K., the delta variant now accounts for more than 90% of newly diagnosed cases, and in the U.S., it currently makes up more than 20% of new cases, Live Science reported.

Delta is thought to be around 60% more transmissible than the alpha variant, the variant first discovered in the U.K. and the one that is currently dominant in the United States. A recent study conducted by Public Health England found that Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine was 88% effective against symptomatic disease caused by the delta variant, while AstraZeneca's vaccine was 60% effective against the variant, Live Science reported.

Because Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine is very similar to Pfizer's vaccine (they're both mRNA vaccines), experts think it will likely confer a similar amount of protection. But less was known about how protective Johnson & Johnson's vaccine would be against the delta variant. Some experts predicted that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine would confer similar protection against delta as the AstraZeneca vaccine because they use the same platform,

I’m not talking about reactions to the vaccine. I was talking about immunity after the disease compared with immunity after just the vaccine. There are two different kinds and one is longer-lasting according to this research.

There is other, not contradictory but additional, research that shows that previous infection plus vaccination is much better than just previous infection in preventing new cases.

Actually, it’s just twice the toxin. You want to get over Covid quickly. Some people will have lasting impacts but these can be reduced or avoided if properly treated.

Having the vaccine just destroys health. There isn’t a benefit. Various researchers have said that the bioengineered vaccine basically out-competes body cells’ production of normal antibodies, and the broad scale of immune resources is reduced to just producing the Covid Vax spike proteins in excessive quantities for a long time, where these toxins accumulate in vital organs.

There just is no benefit to the vaccine. It’s biowarfare, as is the original virus, but the virus is not nearly as toxic and concentrated as the ‘vax’, and the ‘vax’ requires repeated injections of toxins.

There was something in the NY Times about being careful to take the correct antibody test because some of them, the later ones, are better than the others. It pointed out the reason: that the earlier ones only measure antibodies from the disease, not from the vaccine, and the ones from the vaccine are more comprehensive and longer-lasting, and therefore provide better resistance than the ones from just having had covid.

I know people don’t like the Times but they are generally pretty good on science.

The corona virus and covid pandemic are becoming the next climate change crisis the democRATS won't let go to waste.

Between the original covid scare and the vaccinations and now the subsequent virace variants, this corona virus provides them with another horse to ride for quite some time.

Educators are calling math racist because is requires a certain answer and that is not fair or equal. I just read that the National Geographic Society says fireworks are racist because they impact the poor and disadvantage most. Huh?
