His conviction was overturned. Bill Cosby is to be released from prison Wednesday after his conviction was overturned. Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison over a felony sexual assault charge in September 2018.

I would not say “dubious”, I actually agree with part of the ruling. Judge f’d up by allowing the prosecution to let five women testify against Crosby whose testimonies about decades old claims were dubious and prejudiced the jury. There is absolutely no way for the defense to refute their claims other than saying, “it wasn't me.” No rape kits, no hard evidence, no police reports from that time. Just a bunch of women making accusations about drugs and sex decades ago.

Do not get me wrong, I am not saying he is innocent. Just saying I prefer hard evidence to decades old accusations that cannot be proven in any substantive way.

Most (All?) of these women accusers were chasing fame and fortune and were willing to do whatever was necessary to get it.

Contrary to the outrage being expressed on social media, this is the correct decision given what transpired. Doesn’t mean Cosby is innocent or a good guy.

It is always about having the right lawyers. I find it hard to believe that the women who accused him were surprised that he wanted sex. “Awesome! I get to go with Bill Cosby alone into a room. I feel like we could have some incredible conversations about the nature of comedy and the human condition. Maybe we can talk about religion or philosophy.” It was more likely that he had qualudes. More than once have I heard a woman say “I love qualudes!” I know a little bit about women. My sister showed me her polaroids of the time she slept with one of the Harlem Globetrotters. They weren’t revealing just pictures of her and him and the view from the hotel room window. She didn’t sue him.

I don’t disagree with your reasoning, especially since uncorroborated decades old accusations of sexual misconduct are right out of the Left’s playbook. But his accuser in this case wase testified and was subject to rigorous cross examination and was believed.

Thats good. Keeping him in prison is a waste. He’s not a violent criminal and not condoning the date rape encounters as he took opportunity for sexual gratification. Should have been limited to punishment by financial restitution to victims from decades earlier.
