PHILADELPHIA — Pennsylvania’s highest court overturned Bill Cosby’s sex assault conviction Wednesday after finding an agreement with a previous prosecutor prevented him from being charged in the case.
Cosby has served more than two years of a three- to 10-year sentence at a state prison near Philadelphia.

Yeah fingering her was fine. Everyone gets one free grope, right? Let’s be clear here. I posted to this thread not to specifically address Cosby’s conviction nor the validity of it being overturned. Rather it was to challenge the idea that drugging women to have sex with them is apparently okay because they knew what they are getting into.
Manual stimulation under drugs is a thing. There are also additional drugs that can cause priapism. It is actually a thing.

I wouldn’t expect my son to hang out at places that put him at risk of such a possibility, and especially at a place inhabited by homos.
Personally, unless a drink comes from a licensed Health-dept approved vendor, a closed beverage container from a licensed distributor, or a very close friend or relative, I ain’t drinking it. You’re an idiot if you do.

You have to know about it to defend against it. Women aren’t the only people getting roofied, and date rape isn’t the only thing that people are being roofied for.
Also, saw more than a couple cases of this when I worked IT for some attorneys. Some of the demonstrations of that stuff... hooooo boy.
Unfortunately, those places include “any bar or celebration with drinks” these days. Predators (hetero, homo, whatever) do not walk around with convenient labels and one’s personal ‘radar’ may not detect them, even when all parties are sober.

Is it ok for women to lie about what happened to them to put men in jail or to extort massive amounts of money from them ($100,000,000 aka in this case).?
No argument about women getting “roofied” at bars, but if I recall from the details of this Cosby case, these women went to his apartment. They were looking for something. You don’t go into private with a married man and expect to come out unscathed.

No, I didn’t lie. But I have to ask you, we’re you unaware this post veered outside the case, or did you lie just now?
I do not recall the case well enough to say one way or the other for sure, but I vaguely recall that there may have been one where she was in a bar or restaurant with him.
Either way, my point on this thread was mostly that just because someone got ‘roofied’ does not automatically mean that they had consented to the point of going to the other party’s dwelling, despite what several posters were claiming. In fact, most of the time they haven’t. Bars, restaurants, parties and concerts are IIRC the most likely places for people to get roofied.
