Nearly all COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. now are in people who weren’t vaccinated, a staggering demonstration of how effective the shots have been and an indication that deaths per day — now down to under 300 — could be practically zero if everyone eligible got the vaccine.

An Associated Press analysis of available government data from May shows that “breakthrough” infections in fully vaccinated people accounted for fewer than 1,200 of more than 853,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations. That’s about 0.1%.

And only about 150 of the more than 18,000 COVID-19 deaths in May were in fully vaccinated people. That translates to about 0.8%, or five deaths per day on average.

The AP analyzed figures provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC itself has not estimated what percentage of hospitalizations and deaths are in fully vaccinated people, citing limitations in the data.

Among them: Only about 45 states report breakthrough infections, and some are more aggressive than others in looking for such cases. So the data probably understates such infections, CDC officials said.

This is pretty brazen. The CDC data indicates the exact opposite - deaths/infections are PRIMARILY among the vaccinated, not the unvaccinated.

So, there are conflicting studies, reaching completely opposite conclusions.

For quite a few years now, we've had two opposite truths on most every subject, from basic biology of X vs Y chromosomes, right down to the meaning of words that had previously remain unchanged for decades or centuries. "Vaccine" for instance.

And nearly all COVID deaths in US are now among the overweight, unfit Americans, meaning such, if infected, recover with (according to some studies) lasting immunity equal to or superior to the vaccinated, while not likely being infectious, and need not be vaccinated, with such have a greater risk of adverse reactions,

In the interest of accuracy of ammo, checked this out as one who opposes the unwise, counterproductive long-term universal restrictions, and found that the response is that,

The CDC didn’t change the PCR tests’ cycle thresholds for vaccinated people. The guidance cited in the article refers to genomic sequencing, which is used for identifying the virus’ lineage and variants. It isn’t used to test for the presence of infection. The CDC is still recording all vaccine breakthrough cases, not only the ones that led to hospitalization or death.

As evidence for its claim that the U.S. CDC is “lowering their CT value when testing samples from suspected ‘breakthrough infections’” to “decrease the number of ‘breakthrough infections’ being officially recorded”, the article cited this statement on the CDC website:

“For cases with a known RT-PCR cycle threshold (Ct) value, submit only specimens with Ct value ≤28 to CDC for sequencing. (Sequencing is not feasible with higher Ct values.)”

This is a grossly inaccurate interpretation of the CDC guidance. The guidance applies to samples sent for genomic sequencing, which is a technique used to obtain the genetic sequence of the virus. This technique allows scientists to determine the virus’ lineage and identify variants and provides scientists with important information on how the virus is evolving and how mutations change the way the virus behaves. This information in turn helps to guide public health measures and vaccine development.

As is evident from the statement, the CDC didn’t alter the cycle threshold value for the PCR test used to identify presence of infection. The statement is relevant to genomic sequencing, which is an additional test used on samples that already tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR. The reason why this guidance is in place is because genomic sequencing requires a relatively large amount of the virus’ genetic material in the sample. Therefore, a sample with only trace amounts of the virus’ genetic material, which would show a high Ct value, wouldn’t be suitable for sequencing.

Not sequencing a sample doesn’t change the fact that someone tested positive for COVID-19 by PCR, meaning that the person is infected, making them a COVID-19 case. Therefore, this CDC guidance has no influence on the number of COVID-19 cases recorded, as the article claimed.

Cases from vaccinated people are still being recorded, even if asymptomatic or mild

Given the broad criteria* the CDC provides for labeling a Covid case or death (even just an unexplained cough and living in a high risk community) then perhaps Covid is being ruled out in the case of vaccinated people.

These are the most important questions you need to know:

1. Are the people getting sick in Israel vaccinated or unvaccinated?

This is a real no-brainer. For instance, we know there is a Delta surge in Israel. But if you look closely, unvaccinated people are getting sick at nearly 30 times higher rates than vaccinated. I’m not sure if you can blame the vaccines.

2. What is the denominator?

There was an inflammatory article about Indonesian healthcare workers getting sick after a Sinovac jab with “dozens” getting hospitalized. What it leaves out is that over 5000 healthcare workers were vaccinated in that place. Were they all exposed? How many unvaccinated people got sick? What is “dozens?” Very sloppy work. If it is true that 5000 were exposed but 350 got sick, then that’s still over 90% effectiveness.

3. What is the vaccination rate in the country?

An article from a usually reliable publication had a headline saying that cases were surging in countries that had used the Chinese vaccine. Well there are surges in the UK, US, India, even Israel where they don’t use Chinese vaccines.

Going back to item 1, how many of those who got sick were actually vaccinated and fully vaccinated? Were there many deaths among those vaccinated?

Before concluding that a particular vaccine is or is not working against COVID-19 in a country, these are the most important questions we need to ask. Have they been answered satisfactorily?

All these numbers are nothing but political propaganda. Just a few weeks ago the number claimed was 65% of infected were vaccinated, but somehow, like magic, none are being infected now.
