Washington Post is condemned for video urging Americans to set up 'white accountability groups' and force themselves into 'a period of deep shame' over their skin color

The Washington Post has been branded 'neoracist,' and as promoting a 'pseudoreligious movement' for the latest episode of its podcast series urging readers to hold 'white accountability groups' and feel 'deep shame' over their race.

Its series, hosted by Nicole Ellis and called the New Normal, launched last spring, originally to discuss the coronavirus pandemic. The podcast shifted to conversations about race after the death of George Floyd last year.

New Normal's latest episode, launched on Friday, discusses how white people can combat white supremacy, among them were forming so-called 'white accountability groups.'

'An antiracist culture does not exist among white people,' Trauma specialist and author Resmaa Manakem says introducing the concept. 'White people need to start getting together specifically around race.'

He adds that the groups should meet and discuss for up to five years, until, 'you end up with a community that is aligned with each other.'

Rebecca Toporek, who is a professor in the Department of Counseling at San Francisco State University agreed with the concept, saying that such groups, 'are really helpful in terms of having a place to process, having a group of people whose responsibility it is to call me on things, or to challenge me.'

Ellis then speaks to trauma therapist Ilyse Kennedy, who said she had been taking part in such a group, and said that it was important that members experience a, 'period of deep shame for being white and for acknowledging the harm that our ancestors have caused,' adding, 'we can't ask people of color to hold our hand.'

Toporek said such measures might be necessary to separate oneself from white supremacy.

Here is the problem. Without and generational crisis like Great Depression or WWII or Vietnam or even stagflation, the millenials are living in a very blessed era. That (and lockdowns) has given ample free time for excessive navel gazing — and that’s where transgenderism and white guilt are coming from. A generation that is immensely spoiled and bored.

So it is no place to be looking for a royal barge with all the trimmings of abnegation, shame and guilt by any of the parties involved. Consciously seeking somebody to be the scapegoat for the troubles, woe and grief in the world is an exercise in futility, as these things multiply all on their own, with no help because of merely the color of one’s epidermis. Bad attitude and racial characteristics are not paired traits, but exist in approximately equal proportions to all ethnic groups in the world, and not distributed equally to individuals.

Nothing is either bad or good, it is thinking that makes it so. As one is indoctrinated to life attitudes, then that is the attitudes that individual shall hold more or less consciously all through their lives. No amount of “re-education” can wipe these attitudes and opinions out completely.

Let’s take a look at your own community of black on black crime starting all the way back to when your ancestors conquered your people and sold you. Let’s talk about how it continues to this day to the Arab nations.

Let’s talk about how we, the white people, have already had these deep discussions regarding how the black man has been treated...AND WHAT WE DID, HOW WE REPENTED, AND WENT TO WAR with ourselves. AND HOW WE CONTINUED TO CORRECT THE WRONGS OF THE PAST. White people in the United States have nothing, NOTHING, to be shamed about. We have and continue to try to lift you up, but you, your community refuses to turn away from that which has failed you.

We’ve done our due diligence and penance.

And now it is your choice regarding a life of opportunity that lays in front of you. You don’t want ‘white people’ telling you how to take advantage of life in the United States, how to prosper, how to be safe, how to rise out of poverty.

All these ‘activists’ do not want us to come together...don’t you see? They want us divided. I’ve heard this saying “stay out of the black community business” all my life. 60 years they’ve told us to stay out of your affairs. Your affairs have only gotten worse. YOUR system is failing you. Your so called black leaders have lead you way astray and blinded you.

White people have nothing to be shamed over. The perceived chains that rest on you are the one’s you have voluntarily placed on your own community.

I agree 100% with that, but I would specify that this is the mindset of the spittle-lipped storm trooper Leftists who are the cannon fodder for the Left. They are the "true believers", the ideological brown shirts.

It is also the mindset of the lazy liberals who don't know squat and have Black Lives Matter signs in their front yard because it feels right.

To both of those segments of the Left above, it is indeed a pitiful religion.
