Note: link is to the general descrption of the test, not my results. My results follow:
COVID-19 Antibody Test (SARS-CoV-2 AB IgG), Semi-Quantitative POSITIVE Current Result 1.25 index
<1.00 Negative
> or = 1.00 Positive
I took this IgG test at the end of April and it was negative, took it 16 days after the J&J shot and it was still negative https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3965215/posts Took it again 14 days later (30 days after J&J) and it is finally positive. That means a detectable level of antibodies to the spike protein.
Only one ping per test!
I guess that means it’s working. I had covid in February. Going to get antibody test next month to see if I still have the antibodies. I can not get the vaccine if I wanted to because of auto immune disorder. My dad had covid a few months before we knew about covid. He still has the antibodies over a year later.
Good for you.
/not s
I had Covid in March. Very very moderate, but not quite severe. But bad enough that I agreed to be infused with monoclonal antibodies.
The results were immediate and amazing. I went from a pain level of about 7 to 3 in a matter of hours. And the good news?
I will not need a questionable vaccine. I have natural and chemically induced antibodies.
I also have an auto immune disorder ( psoriasis ) but was able to get the Moderna vaccine.
Have you been told you can not receive any of the vaccines?
I’m still convinced I had COVID back in late December. Working with hundreds of people coming directly from the airport all day long. Had a cough the likes of which I have never had before. Cough would not let me sleep, had dry heaves, completely uncontrollable and it lasted a little over a week.
Didn’t feel too run down but the cough was pure hell.
So you had Covid but you got the shot too? Why?
I had minimally symptomatic COVID and have naturally acquired antibodies. (+IgG & -IgM). That won’t get me an entry in to any millionaire raffle (or a free donut from Krispy Kreem).
I want to visit Canada (if they ever reopen for tourism) and that doesn’t satisfy their jab required condition for entry.
Two of my grown kids also have documented antibodies but are being denied university admission till they get jabbed.
I have been exposed to all parts of the virus; the capsid, the envelope, the nucleic core, NOT just a speck of lab grow protein but that’s not good enough for the CDC and the WHO. ARrrrGH! /rant over
That’s the same as me. I also have psoriasis. My derm told me straight up, DO NOT GET THE VACCINE. Or even a flu shot. Not so much because of the psoriasis but the meds I am on for it. I took Otezla and it worked great then it started coming back but it was when I was getting covid. So I switched to Enbrel injections and it don’t work as well. But she said taking the Enbrel lowers your immune system and you could have nasty reaction from the vaccine.. I wish I could go back to otezla because it clears me completely. But it made me dizzy for about a hour and makes my hands shake for about 3 hours. Enbrel so far has no side effects but after 4 months only about 75% clear. My wife has lupus and can’t get the vaccine either.
Glad to hear your good.
Sounds like it worked as intended. Why did you bother with the test, did you want to make sure it worked?
I was told that if you have had covid and have antibodies then there is no need for the vaccine. At this point I am getting tested for antibodies. But not interested in getting the vaccine. When I had it I had a stuffy nose and was SUPER sleepy for a week. I used afrin nose spray and cleared it up but slept for a week. Would go to sleep at 7pm and get up 11am the next day.
Have the university legal dept sign a confirmation of liability if the jab prevents later sale of your kids' blood as 'untainted with the CoVID vaccine' and any economic damages from denial of future sales.
I also encourage everyone to contact their local reps to pass anti-discriminaton legislation in their state: https://www.huschblackwell.com/newsandinsights/50-state-update-on-pending-legislation-pertaining-to-employer-mandated-vaccinations The federal situation is hopeless right now, but hopefully that will change in 2022 if enough people get pissed off and vote.
I took the blood test through Labcorp a couple weeks ago out of curiosity more than anything and to get an idea who the liars are in the big scheme of things.
My wife had it as did some other close contacts I had with family as well as some co-workers and customers. I took no precautions ever besides a mandatory face diaper (even though I could read license plates through them) and I’m well into my 60s’so I paid closer attention then the younger set.
Had a <0.4 result “This sample does not contain detectable antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor binding domain (RBD).
My first conclusion would be it’s not that contagious for most people who are not compromised in some way. I had three negative tests for work and my temp taken also at work some 280 times or so.
So have no idea what the true story is, the MSM never speaks of this test that’s been out for a long time and millions of flu cases have ‘disappeared’ in this period too.
I get the idea that the large scale insurmountable campaign to have everybody vaxxed is a cover-up more than anything.
Still no cure for another coronavirus, the common cold that has been around for millennia.
Brother, my heart goes out to you. My psoriasis is not that bad. It covers my hands every three to four weeks and I use a steroid cream which pretty much takes care of it.
I’ve only had this about seven years. Used to get it on my feet before I knew what it was. Now it seems the more stressed I am the more outbreaks I have. Have had a new job about 18 months and the stress level can be very high. Outbreaks more common now.
I have seen photos and read about people with serious cases and I pray I am not headed down that path. It just looks terrible.
There's another possibility (and obviously a combination is likely). That is the conclusion from the German meat plant study, that some people are really good at spreading but most people are not good at spreading. They tracked all the spreading through genetic testing of the viruses. The index case spread it to 80 people up to 8 meters away despite masks, hand washing, symptom checks, temperature checks, and distancing.

Not all commercial antibody tests can detect spike protein antibodies, AND, what protects you are not antibodies but long-lived memory T cells (which are not practical to measure on a population basis).
Evidence from vaccine trials, however, indicate that T-cell mediated immunity is still growing six months after vaccination.
Yeah my scalp was covered. Embarrassing. Then my back and just went everywhere. The itching will drive you nuts. I was lucky and didn’t have it on my feet. That has got to me miserable on your feet, itching and having to putting on shoes and walking all day at work. I used a cream (taclonex) for years and it quit working. When you are sick or stressed or fighting a injury it gets worse.
