Anyone notice if new car dealers lots are as empty as in my hood? How about grocery stores, especially the meat section.
I smell a crisis if our supply chain is not improved...
Stopped at a local Ford dealer on Wednesday, they had 4 new F150s in stock. Amazing how a microchip is shutting things down.
In southwest Missouri I’m not seeing either of those things.
Grocery prices are creeping up...and of course...gas.

I’ve noticed it, as well. Most car dealers have moved inventory to the front, and the usually full back parts of the lot(s) are either empty or sparse. My local grocery stores seems well-stocked, except for some aisles’ certain sections.
The Jeep dealerships are empty in Missouri.
We are in NW Arkansas and having a hard time trying to get a used Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Maybe we don't have the bottom fall out all at once (like I used to think), maybe it will be just a slow spiral around the drain for several years.
Lots of food. Seemingly lots of cars. Even a fair amount of guns (just very little Ammo). Here in NY State.

Automobile inventories here in Montgomery County TX seem tight (especially used) but everything else looks okay for now.
Can’t speak about cars but my at local supermarket you can see a few empty shelves as well as some price increases but there’s nothing there to justify panic...not as of yesterday at least (my last visit).
Here on LI my wife made a comment yesterday that the children’s clothes section seemed lightly stocked. Wondering if that backup of ships to unload in CA is starting to show up on the shelves.
The car shortage seems like an opportunity to retro engineer cars so they use fewer or no computer chips. Screw gov guidelines.
My water heater started leaking two weeks ago. I have to wait until June 8th for my online order to come in at Lowes.
I paid $7 for a small can of brand-name black pepper yesterday. The Kroger brand has been out of stock for weeks here.

The only things that seem to be in short supply here are the bacon/packaged ham aisles and common sense.
